Dr. Jonas Miller works for Okla-Tech Severe Weather Research.  He used to work at a lab at Muskogee State College in Oklahoma, but left when he got funding from corporate sponsors.

Jonas and his team are following a storm when they are almost run off the the road by [[Jo]] and her team.  They stop at a diner and while he is recorded by [[Kubrick]], [[Bill (Twister)|Bill]] attacks him and accuses him of stealing his design.  Jonas then accuses Bill of stealing his design.  When Jo's team leaves, Jonas has his team follow them.  When Jo's truck is destroyed by a tornado, Jonas tells [[Eddie (Twister)|Eddie]] not to stop, but to keep on driving.  He is later interviewed by [[TV Meteorologist 2]] and explains how his technology will help predict tornadoes.  While chasing a tornado, Bill warns Jonas to turn back, but Jonas ignores him.  Jonas is then killed, when the tornado picks up his truck and flings it into the ground, causing it to explode.
