Background

William Heather is a private with the Royal Marines on the HMS Terror in the Discovery Service for the British Royal Navy.

During the events of The Terror: Season 1 Episode 3 The Ladder played by Roderick Hill

June, 1847, John Franklin, along with Henry Goodsir, walks to the men stationed at the hunting blind, consisting of Sgt. Daniel Bryant, Heather and Sgt. Solomon Tozer. He asks them what bait they are using and they tell him rats. Goodsir takes a photo of Franklin with the men at the blind. Franklin is invited by Tozer and Heather to wait in the blind with them and Bryant is suddenly grabbed and killed by the Tuunbaq. The rest of the men in the blind start shooting and Franklin starts to stumble away in shock.

During the events of The Terror: Season 1 Episode 4 Punishment, as a Boy played by Roderick Hill

November, 1847, Francis Crozier and Thomas Jopson hear gunshots and Crozier runs to the deck of the Terror. He asks Thomas Armitage what is going on and Armitage tells him about the Tuunbaq attack on Heather. Crozier looks down and sees Heather missing the top of his skull, but still alive. Crozier orders Heather be brought below decks and Armitage orders Private Hammond to take watch. Dr. Stanley examines Heather and tells Dr. MacDonald, Heather's health is not failing. Henry Goodsir stays to watch and learn as MacDonald works on Heather.
