Detailed Synopsis

An Appraiser is having black pearls sold by Wealthy Merchant appraised for Max. Anne Bonny walks up to Max and tells her that the rumor is Wealthy Merchant cheated his partner. The appraiser tells Max and the Wealthy Merchant that 316 black pearls will be exchanged for 46,121 pieces of eight. The Wealthy Merchant disparages Max's ethnic background and tells her about the new governor arriving in Nassau. Max tells Rackham, Captain Charles Vane and Featherstone about the incoming fleet and when they are expected to arrive. Rackham comes up with an idea to protect the bay with various crews including those belonging to Burgess, Woodall and the Cockrams. He continues that if they present a large show of force, the British may turn around and leave. Woodes Rogers tells Eleanor Guthrie that he spoke with Captain Chamberlain and they now know when they will arrive on Nassau. He shows her a speech he wrote in which he will offer pardons to the inhabitants of Nassau. He asks her to help him with any modifications she may have to get the most people on their side. He admits to Eleanor that time is of the essence and that he told Spain, who is one of his investors, that he would return the Urca gold to them.
