Detailed Synopsis

Sandra is riding her bicycle along a mountain trail while St. John and Mike Rivers fly Airwolf nearby. As Sandra is riding her bicycle she almost crashes over a cliff, but manages to hang on to a vine. St. John and Mike see her struggling and land Airwolf before bringing her to Saint Matthews Retreat. Reverend Mother stands over Sandra's bed and tells Sandra that St. John saved her. Sandra thanks St. John and before he and Mike leaves, Reverend Mother asks St. John to tell their employer Conklin Aerotech to stop flying planes over the Retreat. After they leave, Reverend Mother tells Sandra that if she wants to leave the Retreat, she can. Later, St. John is doing a test flight in the S-19 Viper, while Mike and Jo Santini follow nearby in Airwolf. During the test flight, a Reporter asks Jerry Conklin if he will comment on the cost overruns, but he blows her off. Alarms start to go off on the instrument panel and when St. John tries to eject, the canopy won't open due to the circuits being fried. Mike uses the laser on Airwolf to melt the canopy and St. John is able to eject. Afterwards, Reporter tries to ask St. John what happened and Jenkins tells her an official reply will be given later. As Conklin walks up she asks him what Airwolf was doing and Yarma pushes her out of the way.

St. John shows Jenkins the burnt motherboard and angrily asks him what is going on. St. John asks to see the schematics on the Viper, but Jenkins tells him it is classified. St. John tells him he has the proper clearance and pulls up the schematics and sees that Conklin Aerotech was using substandard materials. St. John makes a copy of the file onto a floppy disk and Jenkins offers St. John his car to drive and as St. John gets into the car, Paulson, who is in the back seat, tries to garrote him. Jenkins comes outside and starts shooting at St. John and the car blows up. Jo, Mike and Jason Locke go to Conklin Aerotech to survey the scene and Jenkins tells them that St. John is dead. As Jenkins tells Jo and Locke what he heard before the explosion, Mike looks around and finds the floppy disk St. John had. As Sandra is walking outside the Retreat, a wounded St. John stumbles towards her and collapses. In Conklin's limo, Conklin chastises Jenkins for not killing St. John. Conklin tells Jenkins and Yarma that St. John is the only one that knows why the Viper crashed, and they need to find and kill him. The next morning Sandra shows Reverend Mother, St. John, who is in Sandra's bed recovering. St. John says he has to call Locke and Jo, but Reverend Mother tells him that they have no phone. Locke starts looking at the schematics file and tells Mike it will take time for the computer to tell them everything. Jo is on the phone and then tells Mike and Locke that the morgue somehow lost the dental records from the body pulled from the car. Locke thinks there is a cover-up going on and he thinks the body didn't belong to St. John.

Sandra goes through St. John's wallet and finds a business card for Santini Air and goes to the nearest phone at Cully's Gas Bar. As she makes the call, Cully waves at her. Jo isn't at Santini Air, but her answering machine connects. As Sandra leaves a message, Jenkins and Yarma sit in a car, using a phone tap to try and figure out who is calling. The next day, Mike, Locke and Jo listen to the recording left by Sandra. Reverend Mother tells Sandra that Charlie called and Bonnie is having contractions. St. John and Sandra walk to Charlie and Bonnie's house and Sandra helps Bonnie give birth. Jenkins and Yarma drive to Cully's Gas Bar and Yarma smashes Jenkins' hand in the car door. Charlie tells St. John that he is going to name his new baby Sunflower if it's a girl or Goldenrod if it is a boy. Yarma asks Cully where he can find a nearby doctor and he tells him about the nearby Retreat.

They go to the Retreat where Sister Marie bandages up Jenkins' hand and Sister Marie notices that Jenkins has a gun. Yarma threatens to kill Sister Marie if she doesn't tell him where Sandra is. Mike and Locke fly Airwolf to the Retreat while Jo continues looking at the Viper's schematics. Yarma and Jenkins bring Sister Marie into Reverend Mother's office and Yarma has Jenkins watch them as he looks for St. John. Sandra tells St. John that she was having a crisis in faith when she was riding her bicycle. Yarma calls Conklin, who is then arrested by FIRM agents and Cully tells Yarma where Sandra is. Reverend Mother distracts Jenkins and then hits him on the head with the Bible, knocking him unconscious. St. John sees Yarma sneaking around outside and leads him to the barn. Yarma starts to shoot at St. John and Mike and Locke arrive in Airwolf and start shooting at Yarma, who is blown up when he stands next to barrels of fuel and Mike fires a rocket at him. Sandra runs over and hugs St. John and later at Santini Air, Mike tells everyone that Conklin and the other members of the board are awaiting trial. Sandra tells St. John that she is leaving to go back to medical school and they kiss.
