Detailed Synopsis

As Captain Flint and the crew of The Walrus are chasing the Andromache, Billy Bones tells him how fast and at what direction they are heading. Flint tells Billy that he knows that Billy doesn't trust him and Billy says that he knows that men have and are about to die for a lie. Flint tells Billy that the crew needs to feel their actions are based on certainties. Billy asks who Miranda Barlow is and Flint tells him that he lives with her and she is a Puritan that shares his love of books. Captain Charles Vane, Rackham and Anne Bonny go to the brothel. Mrs. Mapleton is talking with Distressed Whore and tells her that she must do what she agreed to do, even though Distressed Whore only agreed to let her client put one finger in her butt. Rackham hands Mrs. Mapleton a piece of paper where Noonan has apparently handed over ownership of the brothel to Vane. Mrs. Mapleton tells Rackham that she knows something is afoot and agrees to it if she gets a raise. Eleanor Guthrie tells O'Malley that no one has seen Mr. Scott and she thinks he might have left with Captain Bryson. She goes into her office and finds John Silver handcuffed to Randall. O'Malley tells Eleanor that something is going on outside. She goes outside and hears as Richard Guthrie tells the crowd that he is a fugitive and Bryson took all the goods except the few in the warehouse and that Eleanor is in charge of giving to those who are owed credit.

Flint gets upset that The Walrus isn't catching up to the Andromache and orders all the sails be raised. De Groot warns against raising all the sails and Logan and Dufresne measure their speed. Billy agrees with De Groot, but then changes his mind when Flint stares at him. Gates then gives the order to increase the sails and they increase their speed. Eleanor confronts Richard about sending Bryson away and he blames her for falling for Flint's fantasy. Captain Lilywhite riles up a crowd of people and accuses the Guthrie's of stealing their money. One of the pirates sees Eleanor and charges at her, but is stopped by Captain Benjamin Hornigold. Hornigold suggests to Eleanor that she makes some announcement that debts will be paid. She refuses and tells O'Malley to bring Captain Naft and his quartermaster Mr. Walker, Captain Lawrence, Mr. Harrison, and Frasier to her. Hamund and some other pirates walk into the brothel and tells Rackham, Anne and Vane that Eleanor is finished. Hamund gets upset when neither Rackham or Vane offer to join him in harassing Eleanor and leaves. Hayes tells Bryson that The Walrus will overtake them in four hours. Billy hands Dufresne a pistol and tells him that he will also have to participate in the upcoming fight.

Rackham has Mrs. Mapleton tend to Max and when Mrs. Mapleton is too rough with Max, Anne tells her to leave and tends to Max herself. Anne tells Max a story of when she cut off a pirate's balls when he put them on her shoulder when she was asleep. Lilywhite continues to rile up the crowd outside Eleanor's. Silver warns Eleanor that she isn't giving enough concern to the mob. Eleanor has her meeting with Hornigold, Naft, Walker, Lawrence, Harrison and Frasier. Before the meeting Hamund harasses Eleanor about Max. Billy gives a speech to the crew including Joshua and tells them of Flint's plan of attack using Beauclerc. After the speech, Gates tells Billy that he did a good job and Dufresne tries to get out of fighting. Billy tries to comfort Dufresne and tells him no one ever died during their first fight. Idelle tends to Vane and he tells her that Eleanor wields the most power as she doesn't depend on votes or if someone like or hates her. Bryson starts firing at The Walrus causing lots of injuries and damage to the ship. Beauclerc snipes Mr. Burnett the helmsman on the Andromache. Mr. Harris goes to take the helm and is also sniped by Beauclerc and the Andromache lurches and loses the wind. The pirates of The Walrus make preparations to board, including Joji and Crisp. Dufresne looks up at Crisp who looks back at him and Crisp is shot in the head.

The crew of The Walrus board the Andromache and during the fight, Dufresne chews the throat out of an Andromache sailor. During Eleanor's meeting, she tells those assembled that despite what Richard said, she is going to continue the trading company. She tells Naft and Lawrence that they lead the two least profitable pirate ships. She suggests they form a consortium and use their ships for trade versus piracy. She asks Hornigold to bless the idea, and he agrees as long as she lifts the ban on Vane. Eleanor refuses and Hornigold tells her that she has until noon to change her mind or he will stop having his men defend her tavern. In the cargo hold on the Andromache, Bryson hides with Hayes and some of his men. Bryson walks to where the slaves are being held and tells Mr. Scott, who is chained up, that he failed in his duty. Bryson has his men shoot a female slave dead and then tells his men to shoot another female slave. A Slave begs them not to and Bryson has the Slave unchained. Eleanor explains to Silver that if she rescinds the ban on Vane, then she will be saying that what Vane's men did to Max was acceptable. Rackham watches as Vane takes a boat and leaves the island. Gates tells Flint that Bryson is in a reinforced hold. Billy sees Dufresne looking through Bryson's papers and Dufresne tells him Tom Jameson died during his first fight. Billy then lists off more, Christian Thoms, Will Robbins, Jean DuBois, and the Portuguese guy with the lisp. Billy finds a letter from Miranda and takes it. The Slave calls for Flint and speaks in the Slave's language. Joshua translates for Flint that Bryson sent a message to the Scarborough before he left, where he was headed. A ship appears to their east and the Slave lights a bomb and charges at Flint before he is shot dead by Billy.
