Detailed Synopsis

In the past, Thomas Hamilton explains to Captain Flint that Governor Robert Thompson is one of the main impediments to stopping the pirate scourge in the West Indies. He tells him that Thompson accepts bribes from the pirates and then complains about the pirate scourge to his supporters in London. Flint tells Hamilton that even if they appointed an honest person to run the Bahamas, his ambition will cause him to become dishonest. Miranda Barlow enters the room and gives Flint a copy of Don Quixote written in Spanish. In the present, Flint pulls a copy of La Galatea from the bookshelf. During John Silver's going on, he tells the crew that Joji has been masturbating onto the figurehead. He then tells the crew that they will be anchoring a mile from Nassau so they won't be seen. Dooley says he wants to vote on the matter. Silver reminds him that they are sailing a Spanish warship and would more than likely be fired upon by Captain Benjamin Hornigold's fort. Dooley still insists he get a vote and Logan diffuses the situation. Captain Charles Vane has sword practice with one of his men and afterwards, Jenks brings Ned Low to speak with Vane. Ned tells Vane that he believes that Vane is not to be crossed with and asks if he will have to deal with Vane after he deals with Eleanor Guthrie. Ned tries to intimidate Vane and Vane tells him that he will not intervene on Eleanor's behalf. Ned then gives Van a pouch of money.

Rackham wakes up to an empty bed and asks Passing Whore if Anne Bonny is still in Max's bedroom and then tells her to tell Anne that he has left. Anne and Max have sex and Anne grabs for Max's hand afterwards. Flint tells Dufresne about his plan to get in contact with Hornigold so he may bring the ship into harbor and then add Hornigold's ship and crew to his own. Silver introduces Vincent and Nicholas to Flint, who then tells them that their mission is to go back to the Urca shipwreck and to spy on the soldiers guarding it. Eleanor goes to Miranda's house and accuses her of conspiring with Richard Guthrie to sabotage her and Flint's plans. Miranda tells her that she doesn't believe that she betrayed Flint and Eleanor doesn't truly understand Flint. Eleanor then demands Miranda set up a meeting with Underhill. Flint and Silver arrive on Nassau and notice Hornigold is camped on the beach and not in his fort. Vane goes to the bordello and makes a deal with Max that she provide him with information on Ned's prize and he will remove the black mark he put on Rackham and Anne. As he is walking away, Max offers to tell him how she got over loving Eleanor, but he doesn't want to hear it. Eleanor hires Babatunde as her new bodyguard after Eme recommends him.

Flint enters the bar and tells Eleanor that he didn't get the gold. He yells at Eleanor about letting Vane take the fort. He tells her about Gates and that she needs to do what is necessary to secure their future. Flint remembers back to the time Miranda came to his room and invited him to join her at looking at some Egyptian artifacts. Hornigold recommends to Flint that they remove Vane as soon as possible. Rackham tries to recruit a crew, but fails. He tells Anne that Max is trying to get between them. Rackham and Anne return to the bordello and Vane asks Rackham and Anne to sit with him. Vane tells them that he wants to repair their reputations and he is doing it because of Max. Max tells Vane what Ned's cargo is and Vane shakes Rackham's hand publicly. Flint tells Silver to tell the crew that Vane and his men stole all their food. In the past Flint and Miranda have sex in her carriage after Miranda tells him that she thinks he cares more about the appearance of propriety than actual proper behavior. Flint goes to Miranda's house and leaves the copy of La Galatea at her doorstep.

While Ned is eating he hears shouting and Vane comes onto his ship. He tells Ned that he wants to make him an offer where Ned's crew joins Vane's crew. Ned tells him that he isn't interested and he thinks Vane is desperate and pulls out a knife. Vane's men sneak aboard Ned's ship and start killing the crew including Mr. Holmes. Vane continues that he will take everything Ned has and in return Ned will have a head start on running away. Ned calls for Holmes and Vane tells him Holmes doesn't work there anymore and Ned and Vane fight. Ned tries to choke Vane to death, but Vane grabs his knife and kills Ned and cuts his head off. Jenks then tells Vane that they found Abigail Ashe. Scrawny Teenager gives Mr. Scott a message hidden in tobacco. Mr. Scott goes to see Eleanor and she tries to get information from him. He tells her that she needs to figure out what she wants, where her loyalties lie and who she trusts. They hear a woman screaming and Eleanor walks to the beach and sees Ned's head on a spike with a piece of paper underneath that reads I angered Charles Vane. Eleanor goes to the fort and she and Vane have sex. Rackham celebrates with Anne about getting a crew and she invites him to have sex with her and Max. Vane shows Eleanor, Abigail and Eleanor worries that Abigail's father will retaliate. Flint tells the crew that he will tell Vane that he and his men must leave by sunrise tomorrow or they will attack the fort.
