Detailed Synopsis

At Bardon Pass, Harwel gives a speech to his men and asks which one of them will bring him King Arthur's sword. Gawain and the survivors of the battle of Bardon Pass arrive at the location where they are to rendezvous with Arthur. A marauder sneaks into the inner defenses of Bardon Pass, but is killed by Arthur. Arthur makes a series of traps and then sets them up around the perimeter of Bardon Pass. Leontes tends to Kay's wound and he and the others realize that Arthur stayed behind to prove himself to them. Harwel sends Wallace next to kill Arthur. Another group approaches the defenses including Wallace, Fourth Marauder and Marauder 2. Arthur shoots an arrow into Marauder 2's throat, but is disarmed. Wallace tells Fourth Marauder to take Arthur's sword and as Wallace is about to kill Arthur, he manages to escape. Arthur's traps kill the other marauders and Wallace impales his leg in a trap. Fourth Marauder hands Harwel, Arthur's sword and Harwel hands it back to him and tells him to take it to Morgan.

Morgan arrives at Camelot with her entourage and Bridget tells her that Arthur is at Bardon Pass repelling an attack. A Camelot guard sees Queen Igraine tied up and goes to untie her, but is stopped by a Pendragon guard and Sybil tells the crowd that Merlin and Igraine ransacked Castle Pendragon and threatened Morgan. Guinevere tends to Hilda's wound and Leontes shows her how to tend an arrow wound. Morgan has Igraine taken to her room while Merlin is put in a pillory. Morgan taunts Merlin and then walks away. Arthur questions Wallace about who hired him and Wallace tells him that it was Morgan. Harwel tells Marauder 1 that Wallace should be back and Marauder 1 offers to kill Arthur. Borin asks Morgan where Arthur is and that he heard rumors that Arthur fled with Guinevere. Camelot Guard tries to stop Bridget from giving Merlin food and she tells him that Morgan has her guards everywhere. He tells her to have faith in Arthur and that he will return.

Morgan goes into Arthur's room and reaches for the crown. Sybil knocks on the door and Fourth Marauder hands her Arthur's sword. Harwel's reinforcements arrive and they attack. Arthur manages to kill a few of them and Leontes joins him in the fight. Arthur and Leontes are surrounded, but are then joined by the rest of Arthur's men. Harwel's men retreat and as Harwel is about to shoot Arthur with an arrow, Leontes gets in front of the arrow. Gawain kills Harwel and Leontes tells Arthur to treasure Guinevere and then dies. Sybil taunts Merlin and then has him released from the pillory so he can watch as Morgan presents Arthur's sword to the crowd. Borin asks who will be the new ruler and Sybil nominates Morgan and she accepts. Morgan accuses Igraine of turning King Uther against her and then stabs her. Igraine then tells Morgan that she is the one that saved her and that Uther wanted to kill her.

Arthur returns with Leontes' body and Guinevere cries. Morgan is about to be crowned queen when Arthur walks into the throne room. Morgan runs to him as if she is happy to see him, but Arthur whispers to her that he knows everything. He chastises the people for so quickly crowning a new leader and Merlin is released. Borin asks where Arthur was and Arthur tells Morgan to give him back his sword and crown. Morgan says he has lost the will of the people, but Brastias takes Arthur's sword from Vivian and the crown from Sybil. Gawain and Kay drag Wallace into the throne room and Wallace tells the crowd of Morgan's plan. Sybil tells everyone that she planned everything and Morgan knew of nothing.

Merlin finds a dying Igraine and tries to use his magic to heal her, but she stops him and tells him to protect Arthur and then dies. Merlin cleans Igraine's body and apologizes to Arthur. Arthur tells Igraine's body that he will make her proud. Gawain takes Sybil to her execution spot and before Gawain cuts off her head, Merlin tells her that there is no god. Arthur tells Morgan that he is stripping her of his protection and the name Pendragon. Leontes' body is put on a funeral pyre along with Igraine's. Guinevere tells Arthur that she never told Leontes goodbye. The wood used to carry Leontes' body is made into part of a round table. Merlin tells Arthur that he is leaving and that Arthur will be great. Morgan goes to Sybil's grave and asks what she should do now. Sybil's voice tells her in order to be queen she has to birth a king. That night, Morgan, disguised as Guinevere, goes to Arthur's room and they have sex. Afterwards, Morgan leaves and then smiles.
