Carol is looking outside for the family dog Baron, when she sees a slime trail, which she and Jim then follow to the ocean, where they find Baron dead. At the 75th Annual Noyo Salmon Festival, Carol tells Susan Drake that the town apparently owes her and Canco a thanks. When Johnny Eagle docks his boat with Tommy Hill unconscious inside, Carol goes with Tom to take Tommy to the hospital. After she is dropped off back at her house by Tom, she is attacked by a group of Humanoids, but manages to kill one until Jim arrives. Carol and Jim then drive to the pier and they survey the damage the Humanoids have caused.
