At Camp Crystal Lake in 1958, Barry and Claudette are singing with a group of other camp counselors. They leave the group and enter one of the empty buildings and go upstairs and start to kiss. An unseen person goes upstairs and stabs Barry in the stomach and then kills Claudette.
