Creature
Background
The Creature is an amalgamation of a frustrated mythological beast and the basest human qualities. It was brought above ground by Shamans 1000 years ago to harness its power and it then took 500 years to trap it inside a its cave. The Creature has regenerative properties and may be female with nurturing qualities.
During the events of It Waits (2005) played by Matt Jordan
The Creature is freed from its cave when Ben Wheelock, Lark Rainwater and a group of graduate students use dynamite to blast open a cave entrance. The Creature then kills Ben, Lark and the students. It begins to prey upon Danny St. Clair, destroying her communication equipment and Justin Rowley's jeep. As Carl Nash and Evelyn Nash are hiking in the woods the Creature attacks and kills them. It continues to attack the tower Danny is assigned to and kills Justin when he leaves on foot to try and get help. During an attack Danny manages to wound the Creature however the Creature's wounds eventually disappear. It kills Joseph Riverwind after he reveals to Danny the origin of the Creature and also kills Rick Baily by dropping Justin's corpse on top of him. The Creature is stuck back in its cave when Danny uses dynamite to collapse the cave entrance trapping the Creature who was in the cave at the time.
