Dufresne is the accountant on The Walrus in the West Indies.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 1 I. played by Jannes Eiselen

After the battle, Gates relays to Dufresne what they found on the merchant ship and Dufresne tallies up what they can sell and tells Gates that each pirate will only make 8 dollars. Later, John Silver tells Dufresne that his cook books are missing and Dufresne tells him that all the books not kept by Captain Flint were added to the cargo to be sold.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 2 II. played by Jannes Eiselen

The pirates continue to cheer Flint and Logan excitedly yells that they will have rum and women for them all. Dufresne advises them not to spend money they haven't earned yet.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 3 III. played by Jannes Eiselen

While Dufresne and Flint are going over how much items the crew has, Gates tells Dufresne to leave.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 5 V. played by Jannes Eiselen

Flint gets upset that The Walrus isn't catching up to the Andromache and orders all the sails be raised. De Groot warns against raising all the sails and Logan and Dufresne measure their speed. Billy Bones agrees with De Groot, but then changes his mind when Flint stares at him. Gates then gives the order to increase the sails and they increase their speed. Billy hands Dufresne a pistol and tells him that he will also have to participate in the upcoming fight.

Billy gives a speech to the crew including Joshua and tells them of Flint's plan of attack using Beauclerc. After the speech, Gates tells Billy that he did a good job and Dufresne tries to get out of fighting. Billy tries to comfort Dufresne and tells him no one ever died during their first fight. Captain Bryson starts firing at The Walrus causing lots of injuries and damage to the ship. Beauclerc snipes Mr. Burnett the helmsman on the Andromache. Mr. Harris goes to take the helm and is also sniped by Beauclerc and the Andromache lurches and loses the wind. The pirates of The Walrus make preparations to board, including Joji and Crisp. Dufresne looks up at Crisp who looks back at him and Crisp is shot in the head.

The crew of The Walrus board the Andromache and during the fight, Dufresne chews the throat out of an Andromache sailor. Billy sees Dufresne looking through Bryson's papers and Dufresne tells him Tom Jameson died during his first fight. Billy then lists off more, Christian Thoms, Will Robbins, Jean DuBois, and the Portuguese guy with the lisp.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 6 VI. played by Jannes Eiselen

After the pirates of The Walrus win the battle against the Andromache, Dufresne lists the dead including Old Jim Carver, Sebastian Frakes, and Billy Bones and their bodies and a sword are dropped into the ocean.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 7 VII. played by Jannes Eiselen

Gates sees Dufresne getting a tattoo and with a newly shorn head and Dufresne says it is part of an initiation to become The Walrus' new quartermaster. De Groot tells Dufresne that Randall said Silver stole the page and not Singleton. Dr. Howell suggests they keep the information from the crew so that they can continue with their hunt of the Urca. Dufresne tells Silver that De Groot plans on handing Silver over to the crew unless Silver can pass a memory test. Dufresne, De Groot and Howell go to get Silver after he fails his test and Silver pulls a knife on De Groot, who pulls his own knife out. Randall then starts calling everyone a thief. As The Walrus is about to leave port, Gates remembers back to when he spoke with Dufresne the night before when Dufresne told him that the crew plans on killing Flint after they take the Urca over the death of Billy.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 1 Episode 8 VIII. played by Jannes Eiselen

The Walrus and Ranger arrive at Division Bay and Flint briefs his crew. Once they get view of the bay. no ship is there. Dufresne tells Flint that the crew has agreed to dock the ships and send out search parties for the Urca. Dufresne tells Gates that De Groot has insisted that once they dock, that Flint is immediately put on trial. Gates disagrees with the plan and insists they put Flint on trial when they return then hands Dufresne a letter. Logan spots sails and yells it to the crew and yells out that the ship is a Man-o'-War. Flint comes up with a plan to make it appear like the Ranger is attacking The Walrus and then ambush the Man-o'-War as it gets closer.

Flint leaves his cabin and tells Dufresne that Gates has died of a heart attack. He tells Logan to tell Mr. Thompson on the Ranger that he is in charge and to sail north. Dufresne walks into Flint's cabin and Silver tries to convince him to keep Gates' murder quiet. Silver yells at the Man-o'-War that they are being followed by a pirate ship and points at the Ranger. He tells the Spanish Officer where they came from and the Man-o'-War continues on its way. As Flint is about to give the order to fire on the Man-o'-War, Dufresne pulls a pistol on him and accuses him of tyranny against the crew.

Dufresne holds up the letter Gates gave him which details Flint's crimes against the crew. As Flint goes to fire a cannon, Dufresne shoots him. Silver fires one of the cannons at the Man-o'-War and Flint tells Dufresne not to waste the moment. Dufresne freezes and the Man-o'War fires at The Walrus and Dufresne orders The Walrus to open fire. The Man-o'-War opens fire again and The Walrus is obliterated. Flint wakes up on the beach next to Silver who tells him that he and Flint have been charged with what has happened. Flint asks Dufresne why he didn't kill him and Dufresne takes Flint and Silver to another part of the beach where they look at the shipwreck of the Urca and its chests of gold scattered along the beach.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 2 Episode 1 IX. played by Roland Reed

Flint, Silver and Dufresne watch as the Spanish crew continue to pile up gold on the beach. Dufresne tells Flint that his trial has been postponed in the hopes that Flint will help him steal the Spanish gold. Flint refuses to help Dufresne at first and then when back at camp starts to tell The Walrus crew his plan. Logan angrily yells that they should be cutting Flint's lying tongue from his head and Dufresne tells the crew to listen to Flint. Flint suggests they steal the warship and then take the gold. He continues to tell his plan of sending two people to kill any sentries on the ship while the rest of the crew readies an assault. De Groot gets upset with listening to Flint's plan and Flint volunteers to be one of the men to kill the sentries and Silver volunteers to be the other.

Dufresne explains to Flint what signals to use and that even if they are successful that Flint and Silver will be expelled from the crew. Ranking Spanish Sailor looks towards the water and Joji shoots him in the head. Joshua breaks the door down and he and the rest of The Walrus crew kill the remaining Spanish crew. They then manage to steal the Spanish ship and escape. Later, Dufresne tells Flint and Silver that The Walrus crew voted 17 yea versus 15 nay votes to commute their sentences and they will be brought back to Nassau.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 2 Episode 2 X. played by Roland Reed

Flint goes to speak with Dufresne and tells him that originally Gates didn't want to bring Dufresne onboard, but Flint believed in him. Flint offers to give Dufresne advice and suggests he not hug the coast as that will take them through the Kingston route and the other pirates will want to take any ship they encounter and there are far too few members of The Walrus to successfully take over a ship. Dufresne tells De Groot what Flint told him and De Groot tells him that perhaps Flint is worried that if Dufresne successfully captured a ship, then Flint's chances of retaking the captaincy would diminish.

A ship is spotted and Logan tells Dufresne that it is flying English colors. Dufresne then decides to attack it. Dufresne manages to take the English ship without a fight. Dufresne and part of The Walrus crew board the English ship and Dufresne tells the Merchant Captain he was wise not to fight. The Merchant Captain asks Dufresne if he is Flint and the Merchant Captain whistles and a fight breaks out. Joji kills the Merchant Captain, but the pirates and Dufresne are forced to retreat back to The Walrus. De Groot tells Dufresne that they must retreat and Dufresne freezes once again. Flint tells Dufresne that they have to sink the English ship or no one will ever surrender to Flint's flag again and then Flint starts giving out orders. The English ship is then sunk. Later, Dufresne asks Flint if the vote was close and then tells Flint that he suspects that Flint gave him the idea on what course to take, because he knew Dufresne would attack the ship and then lose the captaincy even at the cost of the crews lives.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 2 Episode 3 XI. played by Roland Reed

Flint tells Dufresne about his plan to get in contact with Captain Benjamin Hornigold so he may bring the ship into harbor and then add Hornigold's ship and crew to his own. Later, Flint tells the crew that he will tell Captain Charles Vane that he and his men must leave by sunrise tomorrow or they will attack the fort.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 2 Episode 4 XII. played by Roland Reed

Hornigold tells his attack plan to Flint, Mr. Scott, De Groot, and Dufresne. Flint asks how long it will take to rebuild the fort and Hornigold asks him if he intends to follow through on his threat to take the fort. Later, Flint walks to his and Hornigold's crew and tells them to fire on the fort.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 2 Episode 5 XIII. played by Roland Reed

Flint tells his crew to cease fire and De Groot repeats the order. Flint then orders his crew to prepare to move ashore. Flint and his crew make it ashore and Flint tells Dufresne to find Silver.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 2 Episode 6 XIV. played by Roland Reed

Hornigold warns Dufresne that they can't keep their men waiting for much longer if they are to fight. Billy walks into camp and is greeted by the rest of Flint's crew and Dufresne hugs him. Billy tells the pirates of The Walrus about his ordeal and that the British Navy is encamped 40 miles away. Dufresne then asks Billy how he fell overboard. Flint tells the plan to allow Vane to stay in the fort to Dufresne and Hornigold. Hornigold refuses to accept the deal and says that he will hold a council to take over as captain instead of Flint. Billy tells Dufresne that he is supporting Flint in the captain vote and that Flint is right in that England is coming. He tells Dufresne that if Flint doesn't succeed in his plan then he will give Flint over to Captain Hume who made him an offer for nine pardons.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 2 Episode 7 XV. played by Roland Reed

Dufresne tells Flint that the pirates are ready to vote. Hornigold makes his speech and calls Flint a liar, murderer, thief and betrayer. Silver walks up to Flint and tells him that they need to talk and then tells Flint that the Urca gold is gone. The pirates overhear Silver and start talking to each other about the stolen gold. Dufresne tells Flint that the pirates have put aside the vote.

Dufresne tells Billy they need to turn Flint over and get their own pardons and Billy tells Dufresne to find other men who would be willing to betray Flint. Billy meets with Dufresne and the other traitors to Flint including Big Conspirator. The rest of The Walrus crew also show up and Billy reveals the conspirators to be the traitors to their fellow pirates that they are. Big Conspirator questions Billy's manhood and Billy beats him up and tells everyone that they will stick together and follow Flint's plan until they are all safe. Dufresne defects from Flint's crew and tells Hornigold about Abigail's arrival and suggests they give her to England.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 2 Episode 9 XVII. played by Roland Reed

As Eleanor Guthrie and Underhill leave a building, they find themselves surrounded by men. Hornigold tells Underhill to step aside and that they will be taking Eleanor. Eleanor is brought before Hume by Hornigold, Dufresne, Big Conspirator and the other pirates who left Flint's crew. Hume then hands over the pardons.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 3 Episode 1 XIX. played by Roland Reed

A ship pulls up next to The Walrus and Hornigold tells the crew that he will give them pardons if they surrender. Dufresne asks Hornigold if Flint's men will take the offer and Hornigold tells him that he doesn't care. As Hornigold's ship is about to fire on The Walrus, Flint has the crew sail towards the storm and Hornigold follows him.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 3 Episode 2 XX. played by Roland Reed

Hornigold continues to chase Flint into the storm, but then turns back. Hornigold and Dufresne go onto Woodes Rogers' ship and Hornigold is upset to see Eleanor on the ship. Hornigold then tells Rogers that Flint and his crew are dead and gives Rogers Flint's flag.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 3 Episode 3 XXI. played by Roland Reed

Hornigold and Dufresne take a boat to Nassau. Hornigold gives a speech written by Rogers offering pardons to the pirates. He then continues that their is a bounty placed on Vane for 10,000 pounds. Captain Throckmorton then walks up to Hornigold to receive his pardon as do other pirates.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 3 Episode 4 XXII. played by Roland Reed

An explosion goes off at the fort and Hornigold tells Dufresne to tell the men that Vane has likely escaped the fort.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 3 Episode 7 XXV. played by Roland Reed

Silver goes to a tavern with Billy, Dooley and Joji and walks over to the desk holding the pardon books. He warns the former pirates inside that they have betrayed Flint. Tavern Bystander says that Flint is dead. Silver tells the people in the tavern that everyone whose name is in the pardon book originally pledged to defend Nassau and then takes the book. He says that anyone who meets them on the beach will be accepted back, while those who don't rejoin will face consequences. Dufresne stands up and calls Silver half a man and calls Flint's threat weak. He walks up to Silver and calls him an invalid and Silver hits Dufresne in the face with a tankard and then crushes his head with his stump.
