Background

Federal Agent 1 calls and tells his superior about the information Jennifer has gathered. At the motel, The Prospector drives up in Niles Buchanan's vehicle and attacks Wayne and Jennifer. The Motel Manager calls the police and The Prospector drives away with Jennifer.
