Background

Johnny Eagle is a resident and fisherman of Noyo, California.

During the events of Humanoids from the Deep (1980) played by Anthony Pena

Johnny tells Jim Hill, Tommy Hill and Hank Slattery that the incoming cannery will deplete the fish, but Hank insists it will bring much needed money to the town. At the 75th Annual Noyo Salmon Festival, Johnny enters the dance hall with his dead dog and accuses Hank of killing it. He then threatens to sue to stop the cannery which leads to a fight between Johnny, Jim and Tommy against Hank Slattery, Dickie Moore, Jake Potter and Slattery's Crewman. The next day Johnny thanks Jim and Tom for helping him and invites Tommy and Linda Beale to have dinner with him. As they are cooking dinner, Johnny's house catches fire from a Molotov cocktail and Johnny lets Linda use his truck to get help. As he and Tommy are fighting the fire, Tommy is attacked by Humanoids which Johnny manages to kill. The next morning he arrives at port with Tommy's unconscious body and after telling everyone what happened, he joins Jim and Susan Drake in searching for the Humanoids. While they are searching some sea caves, they are attacked by Humanoids. They manage to kill the Humanoids and find Peggy Larsen unconscious under some seaweed. They bring back a Humanoid body to the lab at Canco and Susan tells Johnny and Jim that she thinks that experimental research they were doing may be the cause of the Humanoids and the Humanoids may be trying to find human woman to mate with. They go to the pier with the body of the Humanoid and while they are there, the people on the pier are attacked by a large amount of Humanoids. During the attack, Johnny saves Hank from a Humanoid by shooting it and pulls Hank to safety.
