Background
Jones, or Jonesy as he is sometimes called by the crew is a cat living on the spaceship Nostromo.
During the events of Alien (1979)
While Ripley, Parker and Brett are searching the Nostromo for the Xenomorph, they catch Jones in their net, however Brett lets him go and he is told by the others to catch Jones again so he doesn't set off the motion sensor. Jones watches as Brett is attacked by the Xenomorph. While she is fleeing from the Nostromo, Ripley brings Jones with her and he goes into hibernation with Ripley after she shoots the Xenomorph into space.
