Background
The MEV-1 Host is a bat infected with the MEV-1 virus in China.
During the events of Contagion (2011)
As an AIMM Alderson bulldozer is clearing land, it knocks down a palm tree, and group of bats fly away including MEV-1 Host. The MEV-1 Host eats a banana, but drops a portion of it into a pig pen.
