Mariposa
Background
Mariposa de Quill is a research assistant to Dr. Clemens.
During the events of Godmonster of Indian Flats (1973) played by Karen Ingenthron
Mariposa goes with Dr. Clemens to Eddie's sheep ranch and after they find a weird embryo, she helps Dr. Clemens bring it back to his lab. She goes to Sheriff Gordon to ask him for some cables, but quickly drives away when Eddie harasses him. They stop at the monument of a town founder and after he tells her of the night the embryo was born she and Eddie kiss. She later visits Madame Alta for a psychic reading and Madame Alta tells her she is sowing the seeds of her own destruction. While exploring a cave, Dr. Clemens and Mariposa find the skeletal remains of other sheep human hybrids but are forced to flee when phosphorous gas starts seeping out. When the embryo, now the Godmonster, escapes from Dr. Clemens' lab, Mariposa runs after it to find it. When she does, she talks to it calmly, but it runs away when Eddie throws a rock at it. She and Eddie watch as Charles Silverdale shows the Godmonster to The Citizens of Virginia City and they run as the citizens riot.
