Mrs. Mapleton is attending to a prostitute that was beaten up the night before when Eleanor Guthrie asks what happened and Mrs. Mapleton tells her a member of the Ranger crew did it.

Mrs. Mapleton tells Distressed Whore that she must do what she agreed to do, even though Distressed Whore only agreed to let her client put one finger in her butt. Rackham hands Mrs. Mapleton a piece of paper where Noonan has apparently handed over ownership of the brothel to Vane. Mrs. Mapleton tells Rackham that she knows something is afoot and agrees to it if she gets a raise. Rackham has Mrs. Mapleton tend to Max and when Mrs. Mapleton is too rough with Max, Anne Bonny tells her to leave and tends to Max herself.
