Captain Flint arrives at Thomas's home and is greeted by Peter, Miranda and Thomas. Thomas asks him if he was able to convince the governor of Nassau to support their proposal and Flint tells them that a group of pirates murdered the governor's wife and nine year old son. Peter thinks the proposal is dead, but Flint thinks if he could convince the Sea Lords to back the proposal then it could still happen. Later, Flint returns to Thomas' home and asks Miranda where Thomas is. Peter tells him that Alfred's men took Thomas and Miranda tells him that Thomas was taken to Bethlem Royal Hospital to be committed. Flint starts to give his proposal to Peter, but is cut off by Peter who tells Flint and Miranda that he doesn't understand how they could be the same people he once knew. Peter asks Flint how he became a pirate captain and when he decided to murder Alfred. Miranda tells Peter that it was her that encouraged Flint to kill Alfred. Miranda stands up and Rhett pulls out his pistol and points it at her and warns her and Flint that he will shoot them if they get any closer to Peter.

Flint tells Peter his plan for reconciliation. Abigail knocks on the door and tells Peter that Mrs. Tyler says it is time for dinner. During dinner, Peter has Rhett and Abigail wait in the hall. Peter tells Flint that he will help him, but on one condition. Peter tells Flint that he will come to Nassau and then they will sail to London and Flint is to tell his tale. Flint agrees to the plan and Miranda asks Peter where he got the clock she noticed earlier. She tells him that she recognizes it from one that was in her house. Peter tells her that it was a gift from Alfred and Miranda asks him if he told Alfred about the affair between Thomas and Flint. Peter admits to it, but says he had no choice. Miranda tells Peter that she wants to see him hang. Rhett shoots Miranda in the head and Flint charges at him and starts to strangle Rhett, but is beaten to the ground.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 2 Episode 10 XVIII. played by Nick Boraine

Abigail is half-heartedly playing the spinet piano when Peter walks into her room and tells her that he is sending her to stay with Mr. Ashford during Flint's trial. She asks him if he is afraid that she will speak the truth in defense of Flint. The Town Crier tells the people of Charles Town of Flint's villainy. Peter walks over to Flint and tells him that Kensington will make a spectacle out of Flint's trial and if Flint signs a confession of his crimes, Flint will be executed privately. As Peter is talking, the body of Miranda is brought into the town square in a coffin. Peter offers to have Miranda buried with proper respects and Flint asks Peter if he betrayed Thomas, Miranda and Flint for a bribe or out of cowardice and Peter doesn't answer him. The Town Crier continues to tell the crowd of Flint's murders of their men and women and how he and Miranda attempted to murder Peter. The townspeople then throw vegetables at Miranda's open coffin.

Kensington shows the crowd the evidence against Flint and asks Flint if he has anything to say in his defense. Flint says that the only thing he regrets is believing that he and Peter could come to reason. A Militia Guard walks up to Peter with a handcuffed Vane. Vane tells him that he has testimony in support of Flint and it is from Abigail's journal, which is handed to Peter. Kensington tells Peter that he may destroy the journal at his own peril, but no matter what, Flint will hang. A Clerk reads aloud from Abigail's journal as Flint asks Vane what his plan is. Around the same time, Vane's men start to invade the town. Vane makes a speech and raises his hands to the air. Vane's men then start firing upon the town square with the town's own cannons. Vane and Flint attack their guards and Flint stabs Peter in the stomach and makes him look at Miranda's body. Flint escapes and has the ship continue to fire upon Charles Town as a dying Peter watches.
