Detailed Synopsis

Atia of the Julii and Octavia of the Julii are among a crowd watching a group of actors reenact Titus Pullo and Lucius Vorenus' battle Gladiator 1 and Gladiator 2. Titus wakes up in a hospital to Artist drawing a rendition of Titus. He demands to know what he is doing and the Artist tells him both he and Lucius are famous in Rome from their fight with the gladiators and that any woman in Rome would probably open her door to him. Titus escapes from the hospital and steals a horse before riding to Rome. A Flamen Priest leads a procession including Lucius, Niobe, Vorena the Elder, Vorena the Younger, Lucius the child, Eirene and Rubio to the family farm, where they make an offering for luck. They come home and Clarissa tells them that Titus was found after running away from the hospital and brought to their house. They enter their house and Doctor tells them that Titus has split his wounds open and should not move for at least ten days. At night, Eirene sneaks into the room Titus is recovering in with a knife. Niobe catches Eirene with the knife to Titus's throat and takes the knife away and chastises Eirene. In the morning, Lucius is called in front of Caesar to receive his punishment for defending Titus in the arena. Niobe tells Eirene to tend to Titus' dressing and feed him porridge and before she feeds him any, she spits into the porridge in front of him, which Titus eats anyways. Newsreader tells the people that 100 new senators shall be created and a public banquet will be held to celebrate the expansion of the Senate. Caesar is holding a meeting with Mark Antony, Marcus Tullius Cicero and Posca present where he is outlining his future projects. Lucius arrives and Caesar decides to make him one of the new Senators in order to please the public who have found Lucius' actions in the arena to be heroic. An exasperated Cicero protests to Caesar that not only has he allowed Gauls and Celts into the Senate but he has now made a plebeian a Senator.

Caesar tells Mark Antony and Posca that he made Lucius a Senator in order to have a stealth bodyguard that can follow him anywhere in the Senate. Lucius tells Vorena the Elder that he and Niobe have been planning on finding her a rich old man that she can eventually fall in love with. Calpurnia wakes up from a nightmare and warns Caesar that she has had a bad omen. Servilia of the Junii asks the spirits of her ancestors to give strength to Marcus Junius Brutus as he assassinates Caesar. Rubio cuts Titus' binding and he walks out into Rome. He calls to Venus and tells her who he is. They eventually return back to Lucius' home and Titus awkwardly tells Venus goodbye when he notices Eirene staring at them. In the Senate, Cimber, Casca, Cassius, Cicero and Brutus are critically pointing out the new Senators created by Caesar. Cimber points out one who he recognizes as a fishmonger, while Casca points out one of the Gauls wearing an earring and Cicero jokes that the Gauls have invaded Rome. Cassius points out how Caesar treats Lucius like a son on purpose to rouse Brutus. Servilia and her anti-Caesar conspirators hold a meeting where they discuss how to kill Caesar. Casca is weary of attacking Caesar with Lucius around, who Quintus Pompey calls a son of a whore and Brutus describes Lucius to Servilia. Brutus demands that Caesar's murder be committed on Senate grounds and the others agree. Servilia gets up and asks Brutus to tell him more about Lucius and she remembers what Octavia told her. Atia receives a letter from Servilia asking her to come for a visit. Atia tells Gaius Octavian that he will join her tomorrow to visit with Servilia. Titus tells Eirene he is going to the country for the day and he invites her to come with him. Servilia greets Atia and Octavian as they arrive at her house as Eleni leaves the house.

As Titus is walking around Rome he sees a mural of him and Lucius fighting a gladiator. As Lucius is walking to the Senate with Caesar, he is stopped by Eleni who tells him the truth about Lucius the child and Lucius heads home. Caesar, Mark Antony and Posca are walk into the Senate, and Mark Antony is stopped by a group of Senators who call him away. Servilia tells Atia that she invited her to her home so she would be the first to know about Caesar's assassination. Cimber grabs at Caesar who pushes him away and as Casca stabs at Caesar, Caesar grabs the knife by the blade. Caesar is then repeatedly stabbed by a group of Senators and Quintus knocks Posca unconscious. Cassius grabs a knife and puts it in Brutus' hand and tells him to stab Caesar. As Brutus goes up to Caesar they stare into each others eyes and Brutus stabs Caesar dead. Lucius arrives home and asks where Lucius the child is and Niobe tells Lucius she was told he was dead. Lucius grabs a bread knife and Niobe tells him Lucius the child is innocent and jumps to her death from the balcony. Cassius grabs Brutus' hand and declares thus ever to tyrants and Mark Antony walks in sees Brutus with the knife and leaves. Servilia finishes telling Atia that she is now alone and tells her that she will have her revenge on Atia and that she will make her suffer and Atia and Octavian leave. Lucius runs downstairs and holds Niobe's body as Lucius the child walks up. Titus makes an offering to the gods for forgiveness in the countryside and walks with Eirene.
