Saint John

Background

Saint John Hawke is a Vietnam Veteran who served tour tours as a captain with the 1st Cavalry Division in Southeast Asia. His father Allen B. Hawke and his mother died in a boating accident and he was taken in by Dominic. Saint John and his brother, Stringfellow Hawke, were on a mission in Vietnam when Saint John was left behind. His grandfather collected famous artwork for his grandmother. Saint John was once in a relationship with Ellie in Vietnam and he was good friends with Mace Taggart. His medals include a Purple Heart, Bronze Star with an oak leaf cluster and a Distinguished Flying Cross. He was rescued and joined the FIRM, but during Operation Storm Season, was captured by the Khmer Rouge along with Alexander Montrose.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 1 Blackjack played by Barry Van Dyke

In the Burma Highlands, St. John is sitting in his cell sharpening a bamboo stick when Ackroyd warns him that the guards are coming. The guards then take St. John and Ming Ho away. Colonel Bojard interrogates St. John about Airwolf and as St. John charges at Bojard, Burke hits him in the stomach. St. John is brought back to his cell and Ackroyd tells him he got his message out. Ackroyd tells him the people he sent the message to need proof it is really him and St. John gives him a ring. Later, Ming Ho thanks St. John for helping him and tells him Ackroyd is working with Bojard. St. John accuses Ackroyd of betraying him and Ackroyd pulls out a knife and attacks him. St. John stabs Ackroyd in the stomach and kills him and tries to escape, but is captured.

Bojard tells St. John about his plan to capture Airwolf, when Hawke comes to try and rescue St. John. Burke tells Bojard an aircraft is on its way. St. John tries to warn Airwolf away and escapes from his cell. St. John and Bojard fight hand to hand. St. John then stabs Bojard to death with a knife. He is picked up by Airwolf and then visits Hawke in the hospital. Hawke tells St. John about Dominic's death and then tells St. John he doesn't want to die in the hospital. Jason Locke, Jo Santini and Mike Rivers go back to the lair and Airwolf lands. St. John gets out and Locke recruits him to continue Hawke and Dominic's work.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 2 Escape played by Barry Van Dyke

Jo calls the lair and tells St. John she has the package and is on her way to Stockholm. Locke tells St. John and Mike that Jo's flight is being forced to land in Bulgaria and St. John and Mike get into Airwolf and take off. In West Berlin, Germany, St. John and Mike meet with Arkov and convince him to try and save Jo. Locke contacts St. John and tells him where Jo is located. Airwolf arrives at Stara Zagora Prison and starts shooting up the prison. Barracks Guard is shot and killed by Airwolf. Jo, Svetlana Linski and Taaja get into Airowlf, which then flies away. Back at Santini Air, Svetlana and Taaja thank the crew and Locke for saving them and Locke tells them their testimony will be given to Amnesty International to help shut down Stara Zagora Prison. Mike asks Svetlana to get him tickets to the next gymnastics competition and Svetlana hugs Jo.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 3 A Town for Hire played by Barry Van Dyke

St. John is flying a small plane as Jo flies a helicopter nearby as they test a new digital laser communication system. They start to race each other and Jo's helicopter is hit by a laser and crashes. St. John's plane is hit by another laser and as he is struggling to control it, he sees Jo's helicopter and Jo hanging halfway out of the cockpit window. St. John calls for help and then manages to land his plane. He is helped from his plane and taken to Santa Mira Hospital. Dr. Tracy Kinsington and Dr. Kinsington go into St. John's room where Sheriff Lou is already besides St. John's bed. St. John demands they look for Jo and Sheriff Lou tells him, he will drive him to the crash site. St. John and Sheriff Lou arrive at Jo's crash site, but there is no sign of a crash. St. John demands to be taken to where his plane is.

St. John finds his plane being worked on by mechanics and Martin Lundahl introduces himself. Lundahl tells St. John his plane won't be ready to fly for a couple of days and St. John angrily storms away. He asks Receptionist if he can use the phone. As St. John is talking to Mike, the call ends. He tells the Receptionist the phone is dead and she tells them the lines are being worked on and it could take a couple of days before they are working again. Sheriff Lou tells Dr. Kinsington to find an excuse to hold St. John at the hospital. St. John tries to rent a car from Hank Nelson, but Hank tells him there is nothing to rent or buy. Tracy sees St. John and asks him if he is doing okay. He tells her he needs to find Jo and she agrees to drive him around. They go back to the crash site and St. John notices evidence of a crash and finds one of her sunglasses pieces. Deputy Baker, who was watching them, tries to ram their vehicle off the road, but St. John forces him to crash his car, which then explodes. St. John and Tracy walk into a bar and St. John tells Sheriff Lou about Deputy Baker's crash. He asks Dr. Kinsington where Jo is and Dr. Kinsington brings him and Tracy outside and they leave in Tracy's car.

Dr. Kinsington takes Tracy and St. John to Jo, who is injured, but kept hidden by Dr. Kinsington. As they are taking Jo to the car, Sheriff Lou and Hank pull up and take them hostage. They are driven to the Lundahl Industries building and Sheriff Lou takes them to Lundahl. Lundahl tells Sheriff Lou to kill them. Mike starts shooting at Lundahl and the guards and St. John manages to take away Hank's rifle and knocks Sheriff Lou into a fire and Sheriff Lou burns to death. Locke blows the buildings doors open and St. John and the others drive out in Sheriff Lou's vehicle. Hank starts shooing at Airwolf and Lundahl tries to use the laser cannon on Airwolf. Locke fires rockets into the building, but Airwolf is hit. He starts to lose power, but switches to manual override and fires a rocket at Hank and Lundahl, killing them. He lands Airwolf and flies away with the others. Back at the hospital, Dr. Kinsington tells St. John and Jo he is staying in town and Tracy tells them she is staying too.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 4 Salvage played by Barry Van Dyke

St. John and Mike are training in Airwolf when Locke radios them and tells them Lorrie Grant contacted him. They return to base and pack for a trip to Devil's Ridge and before leaving, Jo suggests they bring Lorrie back this time. Mike and St. John argue over making Lorrie come with them. St. John walks in to the bar and walks Lorrie out of the bar and Mike says hello to her. St. John and Mike drop Lorrie off at her house and she tells them she isn't seeing things this time and what she is seeing is real in the old Native American burial ground. She notices they don't believe her and she demands they take the necklace Charlie Rising Moon gave her and to ask him what he saw. St. John and Mike go to see Charlie and give him the necklace and he suggests Lorrie leave for her own safety. The next day, Mike and St. John visit Lorrie at Devil's Ridge Hospital and she asks them if she saw Charlie or animal tracks. St. John and Mike fly over the area and as they are flying over the mine they take a few photos.

St. John calls Locke and tells him, Lorrie was arrested for stealing a car. Sheriff Hanley warns St. John that the next time Lorrie is arrested, he will have her committed. St. John develops the photos they took and notices something in the photos they took of the mine. He returns to Lorrie's house and finds Mike and Lorrie gone. He sees Charlie in the woods and chases after him and catches him. Charlie tells him they took Mike and Lorrie to the sacred burial ground and takes St. John there. Charlie thinks it was demons that took Mike and Lorrie and St. John has him take him to the mine. In the morning, St. John and Charlie break into the mine. St. John and Charlie see the experimental helicopter called Scorpion which had disappeared after crashing. St. John kills Nokomo by kicking him over a railing while Charlie shoots the guards. St. John frees Mike and Lorrie and they escape with Charlie in Bronson's jeep. Strafe starts shooting at them and they abandon the jeep and hide among the rocks near a creek. Charlie is hit with a laser fired by the Scorpion in the stomach. Locke and Jo arrive in Airwolf and get into a fight with Strafe and shoot the Scorpion out of the sky. Afterwards, Locke tells Lorrie that she can rejoin the FIRM. St. John, Mike, Locke and Lorrie then go to visit Charlie in the hospital.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 5 Windows played by Barry Van Dyke

St. John and Locke are pulling surveillance on Phillip Devereau in a car, while Mike is pulling surveillance in Airwolf. Locke tells Rivers that Devereau is carrying a circuit board for the satellite that will be used in an upcoming space shuttle launch. Uri Tatloff walks up to Devereau and then after shaking hands walks off. St. John follows Tatloff while Mike follows Devereau. St. John grabs Tatloff and puts him in the car with Locke. St. John and Locke bring Tatloff to the Soviet Embassy and he tells them Devereau is working with someone in the same apartment building. He promises to tell them who if they take him to their office, but is shot dead by Fireman/Sniper. While they are watching him, St. John notices Devereau keeps on looking at his watch.

St. John and Locke try looking up information on Ann Delaney, but come up with nothing. The bomb explodes and everyone runs out of the apartment complex. Jo tells the others the device is picking up something and St. John goes to help her. An ultrasonic sound emits from somewhere and Hannah Molner collapses to the ground from a heart attack. A Paramedic comes over and works on Hannah. Hannah is put on a stretcher and St. John notices the Fireman/Sniper is acting suspicious. Information comes from Interpol with data on Ann revealing her to be a freelance agent. St. John, Jo and Locke go to Ann's apartment and find it empty. As Ann is trying to escape with Eric and "Oscar" the Dog, Eric and Oscar run away. Mike sees them and tells the others where she is at. Oscar bites Ann as she is about to shoot Locke and she is grabbed by St. John. Eric gives Locke the circuit board and the space mission proceeds.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 6 A Piece of Cake played by Barry Van Dyke

St. John and Mike are in Airwolf following behind a jet fighter. Mike contacts Jo, who is monitoring their modem feed at Santini Air. Air traffic control notifies the pilot that he is being followed and he turns around and orders Airwolf to identify themselves and they fly off. While he is taking Bobby and other troubled youth out for a hike, Mike calls St. John and Locke and tells them he was shot and Bobby and Jo were kidnapped by Max. St. John and Locke get into Airwolf and take off. When they arrive at the cabin Jo was taken to, Marco gets into a jeep and starts shooting at Airwolf. Marco's jeep is shot by Airwolf and as he gets out, the briefcase explodes when it is hit by a round from Airwolf, killing him. Back at Santini Air, Jo is teaching Bobby how to maintain helicopters as Mike milks his injury. Susan walks in and is surprised Bobby is working. As Mike starts telling another make believe story, everyone slowly walks away.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 7 Deathtrain played by Barry Van Dyke

St. John, Locke, Mike and Jo arrive in a military jeep at a train depot. Two cars drive up, one American and one Soviet. Locke spots Gregori Nobokov stepping out of the Soviet vehicle and he and Locke go inside a train car holding a nerve gas, after receiving a key card. The train starts and St. John, Jo and Mike get into Airwolf. Lt. Walters drives his jeep up to checkpoint 1 and contacts Airwolf. St. John is told they can leave now, and Airwolf continues on the path of the train. The surveillance helicopter tries to contact the train, but gets no response. The surveillance helicopter pilot sees the dead engineer in the decoy train and contacts Airwolf. Airwolf catches up with the decoy train and as Mike is about to rappel onto the train a bomb goes off, destroying the train. Mike and Jo scan the area and tell St. John that the area is clear of gas. St. John decides to head back to checkpoint 2. Jo finds the train in the tunnel and Mike homes in on the canister locks. St. John gets out of Airwolf to try and rescue Locke. St. John sneaks into the mountain and shoots Colonel David Randolph dead and Locke takes Randolph's gun and shoots Jenson dead. Locke grabs Nobokov and he and St. John escape from the mountain as it explodes.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 8 Code of Silence played by Barry Van Dyke

Jalapa, Honduras, St. John and Locke, in Airwolf are supporting Colonel Coombs and his team in their mission to rescue Reynolds, the ambassador to Colombia, who was kidnapped by guerrillas. Briggs contacts Coombs and tells him that the ambassador has been secured and is ready for extraction. While the operation is taking place, a combat Photographer records the mission. Airwolf successfully retrieves Reynolds and while the team is heading to the rally point, Coombs' helicopter is hit by small arms fire and he veers into Brad Lacey's helicopter which then crashes. The photographer is also shot and drops the camera into the jungle below. Back at C.O.M.B.A.T. headquarters, Coombs is brought up on charges of murder for the death of Lacey. He asks St. John to represent him during his court martial. St. John, Mike and Jo go to Brad Lacey's funeral and afterwards, General Lacey asks St. John to defend Coombs. St. John meets Captain Parkinson, who is also part of Coombs defense team and they speak with Gen. Danford who introduces them to Locke, who will be prosecuting the case.

Later, St. John and Locke argue about the case. He and Parkinson go to Lydia's Bar to discuss their strategy. The Waitress gives them beer compliments of Lidia. Capt. Thompson and Lt. Jennings walk into the bar and order beer and Parkinson tells Thompson and Jennings that she wants them in her office on Sunday. Thompson tries to punch St. John, when St. John criticizes his behavior and is forced to leave the bar by Lidia. The trial begins and the Photographer is the first to take the stand and he testifies there was no reason for Coombs to crash into Lacey's helicopter. St. John asks Mike and Jo to recover the camera in the jungle. Thompson is the next to take the stand and he tells the court that Coombs' hard left maneuver was not standard operating procedure. Jennings is next up and he says that Coombs running into Lacey's helicopter seemed intentional. He then tells the court he and some others overheard Coombs and Lacey arguing over something and Coombs threatened to kill Lacey. Parkinson admits to St. John that she thinks Coombs is guilty and he tells her, he thinks Coombs might be protecting Lacey.

They go to Lacey's living quarters and while searching it, Mendoza sneaks out of a closet, shoves Parkinson and runs out. St. John captures Mendoza and Mendoza is questioned. General Lacey is called as a witness by St. John. General Lacey tells the court that Coombs strives under pressure and says Lacey had his ups and downs, but was turning into a better person. Lidia tells St. John and Parkinson that Coombs was tough on his men, and that Thompson and Jennings believed it was their mission to remove those like Lacey from the ranks. St. John and Parkinson go back to Lacey's quarters. St. John notices the sink is stopped up even though the stopper is not plugged in. He removes a portion of the drain pipe and finds a Top Secret file with information on Operation: The Ring. As St. John and Parkinson are leaving, Locke pulls up and tells them Coombs has escaped in a helicopter. St. John and Mike get into Airwolf and chase after Coombs, who is heading towards Twentynine Palms Missile Range. St. John convinces Coombs to land after both of them narrowly avoid being blown up. Mike and Jo show St. John bullets embedded in Coombs' helicopter and St. John asks Mike to run them through ballistics. He shows the court the video with an enhancement that shows Coombs took fire from Thompson's helicopter while he was trying to protect Lacey. He then accuses Thompson and the rest of the team, except Coombs, of planning to kill Lacey when they found out he was a traitor. Thompson finally admits to it and the trial ends. St. John and Locke walk to get a beer and as they are walking, Coombs salutes St. John.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 9 Stavograd Part 1 played by Barry Van Dyke

St. John, Jo and Mike are test firing weapons in Airwolf as Locke is monitoring them in the lair. Locke tells them NORAD has requested they check on a reading it picked up with high radiation. They fly there and pick up large amounts of radiation and Locke tells them the location matches Stavograd Nuclear Facility within the Taimyr region of the USSR. Locke gives St. John the details on Stavograd and St. John decides to head to Stavograd. Locke calls St. John and tells him to return to United States territory. Two MiG jets confront Airwolf and Uri Kolcheski orders the crew of Airwolf to land. After St. John refuses, Kolcheski starts firing on Airwolf, but St. John tells Rivers not to return fire. After landing, Airwolf is brought into a hangar and the crew is met by Arkov. Rivers argues that they are there to help and Commander Kirov suggests a Soviet pilot use Airwolf to fly into the reactor. Kolcheski offers to fly Airwolf, but Jo refuses.

Kirov brings the Airwolf crew to meet Alexandria Rostov and asks where Dr. Vladimir Bronski is. Kirov's Aide stays behind while Kirov, Rostov and the Airwolf crew return to Airwolf. Jo is forced to stay behind as Rostov goes in her place. St. John updates Locke on the situation. Rostov tells St. John the reactor is going into meltdown and they drop a harness to Bronski. The reactor explodes and Bronski is taken to the clinic. Arkov accuses St. John and Rivers of sending classified data. The crew of Airwolf is detained, but break out of the room they were put in. Kirov's Aide discover St. John, Jo and Mike gone and find them donating blood for the injured mitigation team members. They are detained once more and Kirov updates Dimitrievich on the deteriorating situation.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 10 Stavograd Part 2 played by Barry Van Dyke

St. John looks for a way for him, Mike and Jo to escape from their room, but doesn't find a way out. Arkov walks in and tells Jo, they need help in the infirmary. Arkov tells St. John and Mike that he believes them and sneaks them out. Locke, who had managed to sneak in, finds St. John, but they are caught by Kirov. Kolcheski fires his missile, but then crashes. Jo lands Airwolf and Mike lands the jet. Kirov and the rest of the military leave and St. John has the idea to collapse the walls of reactor 1 and Bronski thinks they might be able to use coolant from reactor 3 to prevent reactor 2 from overheating. St. John and Mike manage to collapse the walls to reactor 1 and the temperature in reactor 2 drops. Locke, and St. John say goodbye to Bronski and Rostov and St. John gives her a kiss.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 11 Mime Troupe played by Barry Van Dyke

Locke tells St. John about Jaggerman and Anna LeBlanc and how Jaggerman wants Anna to be brought back to France.Locke tells St. John about Francoise and a new terrorist organization. Locke continues that Jaggerman thinks the terrorists will use stolen helicopters to kidnap Anna. Jaggerman is picked up by Locke and St. John. Jaggerman is brought to Santini Air and Jo and Mike bring Anna to Santini Air. As rehearsal is happening, Hugo walks into the theater and shoots towards Tourand and Jean. St. John shoots and kills Hugo and Mike runs over to Tourand and Jean and Tourand is dead. Locke and St. John get in Airwolf while Mike and Jo follow the vehicle with Peter Druker using the tracking device. Locke tells Mike they spotted four heat signatures in a building nearby. Mike and Jo go into the warehouse and save Anna and Jaggerman. The next day, Locke and St. John get back into Airwolf and fly towards the NATO conference location. They chase Peter and Abdul in their stolen helicopters and shoot them out of the sky. Back at the theater, Anton gives a toast to Mike, Jo, Locke and St. John.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 12 X-Virus played by Barry Van Dyke

St. John and Tim Shimizu are reminiscing about their time in Bangkok as they run. Tim gets a notification on his pager that Dr. Shimizu is dead. St. John and Tim go to Dr. Shimizu's house and Tim doesn't believe Dr. Shimizu died from an accident. They go to GEI Labs and Tim finds a virus from a sample from Dr. Shimizu. He tells St. John, that the virus breaks down the white cells within the body. Dr. Shimizu's house is quarantined by the Health Department and Tim and St. John go back to Dr. Shimizu's house, but don't find any evidence of the virus in the home. While St. John and Tim are looking at the Bar-Med photo, they find a newspaper article taped to the back of it with a story about a scientist committing suicide named Professor Barton Saunders.

St. John goes to Bar-Med and speaks with Clive Harper. Clive tells St. John that Barton created a cure all that had the side effect of reducing the test subjects into brain dead cabbages. Tim continues to study the virus and tells St. John that the virus was man made. Tim suddenly collapses and is taken to the hospital and quarantined. St. John goes to the lair and Jo tells him, Locke and Mike that Bar-Med had recently spent over 2 million dollars on research. St. John and Jo go to Bar-Med while Mike and Locke fly in Airwolf as backup. Barton and Price sneak up on St. John and shoot him with a dart. He regains consciousness and Barton thinks Clive sold him the X-Virus vaccine. St. John is dragged away by Barton and Price into an underground lab. Barton tells St. John his plan to release the X-Virus and then offer the vaccine. He continues that Dr. Shimizu wanted to give the vaccine to the government. Barton tells Technician 1 that he wants another, more concentrated does of the X-Virus administered to St. John. St. John tries to escape, but is caught and is then injected by Technician 1.

St. John uses lab rats to chew the ropes around his wrists and Jo is thrown into the room with him. As Price opens the door, St. John pushes cages of lab rats on him. Jo is shot by Barton with a dart and Technician 1 tells St. John that extreme heat is the only thing that will kill the virus and gives St. John the vaccine. Price is bit by the rats and dies and St. John administers the vaccine to Jo and escapes the lab. St. John tells Mike to blow up the lab and Mike shoots a missile at it. Later, St. John, Jo and a now cured Tim go to a bar and Tim tells them that the X-Virus vaccine is going to be used as a treatment for malaria. Locke and Mike are playing a game of pool nearby and Mike scratches the cue ball.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 13 Rogue Warrior played by Barry Van Dyke

Mike and Locke are flying in Airwolf to Czechoslovakia, while Jo and St. John are back at the lair. A message comes through at the lair ordering the mission cancelled and Airwolf to return to base. Jo radios Locke and Mike and relays them the message, but Locke acts like they are suffering from a communication malfunction. Mike and Locke arrive back at the lair and Locke tells St. John and Jo that they were set up. Locke tries to log on to the FIRM's network, but his access is denied. Mike, St. John and Jo go to a bar and Mike sees Lynn looking at him. He walks up to her and she invites him to leave with her. As they leave, Tom Harris and J.S. Carson pull guns on Mike. Lynn helps Mike and then they drive away. St. John and Jo, who had seen the fight, put a locator on Tom's car before it drives away. Mike and Lynn go to a motel and St. John calls their room and asks if Mike is okay and Mike tells him, he will call him in the morning. At the lair, Locke and Mike argue and then Mike and Jo go to find Tom and Carson. Mike and Jo find the rental car Tom and Carson used, crashed in a ditch with Tom and Carson dead inside. They bring back their IDs to the lair and show it to Locke and Mike accuses Locke of not being honest with him. Locke admits that the FIRM no longer trusts him. Lynn shows up at Santini Air and pulls a gun on Mike when he tells her Airwolf is in the hangar. St. John and Jo pull guns on Lynn and she takes Mike hostage. She and Mike get into a Santini Air helicopter and she demands Mike take her to Airwolf. After they leave, St. John and Jo get into Airwolf and fly after Mike and Lynn. Two jets are sent after Airwolf and fire missiles at it. St. John makes it appear that Airwolf has crashed. Back at Santini Air, Jo asks Mike if he is alright and they and Locke and St. John agree to make a fresh start in trust.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 14 Ground Zero played by Barry Van Dyke

St. John rides his motorcycle to Santini Air and leaves with Mike. He and Mike participate in war games with the military. They arrive back at Santini Air and are concerned Jo isn't back yet. Mike finds Takeshi Yahara's business card and St. John radios him from Airwolf and tells him, he found Jo's helicopter, but she isn't nearby. Mike tells him that he called Yahara's business and he had already returned and paid Jo. Mike tells St. John that Jo strayed into restricted airspace and St. John thinks Yahara seems suspicious. He goes to Yahara Investments and questions Yahara about Jo. Yahara pulls out an old photo and shows it to St. John, who recognizes one of the men in the photo as his father. Yahara tells St. John that Jo is his prisoner and then takes St. John prisoner. As St. John is trying to free Jo, Yahara and Hayashi walk in to the room and Yahara asks St. John if he knows fear, the same question St. John's father asked Yahara when he was a POW. Yahara pulls out a kitana and threatens to crack open St. John's skull with it. Kimura tells Yahara that his plane has arrived.

Yahara gets into a restored plane which he flew in World War II and flies the plane to Santini Air and Mike and Locke are taken hostage. Yahara threatens to kill Jo and Mike if Locke doesn't order the jets to leave. Locke makes a phone call and the jets return to base. St. John is brought outside to be executed and Yahara tells his followers that they are free to leave after St. John's execution. St. John manages to get away and kills Yahara's followers. Yahara flies in his plane while taunting Locke, Mike and Jo, who are forced to watch via a video feed as Yahara flies to his target. St. John gets into Airwolf and flies after Yahara. He shoots down Yahara's plane as Yahara tries to kamikaze the plane into Airwolf. Back at Santini Air, St. John tries to show the others how to pick a pair of handcuffs. Locke offers to help him when St. John is taking a long time and St. John asks Locke to show him how he did it. Locke handcuffs him to a chair and he, Mike and Jo leave St. John, until he offers to buy them all a round of beer.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 15 Flowers of the Mountain played by Barry Van Dyke

Sandra is riding her bicycle along a mountain trail while St. John and Mike fly Airwolf nearby. As Sandra is riding her bicycle she almost crashes over a cliff, but manages to hang on to a vine. St. John and Mike see her struggling and land Airwolf before bringing her to Saint Matthews Retreat. Reverend Mother stands over Sandra's bed and tells Sandra that St. John saved her. Sandra thanks St. John and before he and Mike leaves, Reverend Mother asks St. John to tell their employer Conklin Aerotech to stop flying planes over the Retreat. Later, St. John is doing a test flight in the S-19 Viper, while Mike and Jo follow nearby in Airwolf. Alarms start to go off on the instrument panel and when St. John tries to eject, the canopy won't open due to the circuits being fried. Mike uses the laser on Airwolf to melt the canopy and St. John is able to eject. Afterwards, Reporter tries to ask St. John what happened and Jenkins tells her an official reply will be given later.

St. John shows Jenkins the burnt motherboard and angrily asks him what is going on. St. John asks to see the schematics on the Viper, but Jenkins tells him it is classified. St. John tells him he has the proper clearance and pulls up the schematics and sees that Conklin Aerotech was using substandard materials. St. John makes a copy of the file onto a floppy disk and Jenkins offers St. John his car to drive and as St. John gets into the car, Paulson, who is in the back seat, tries to garrote him. Jenkins comes outside and starts shooting at St. John and the car blows up. As Sandra is walking outside the Retreat, a wounded St. John stumbles towards her and collapses. The next morning Sandra shows Reverend Mother, St. John, who is in Sandra's bed recovering. St. John says he has to call Locke and Jo, but Reverend Mother tells him that they have no phone.

Reverend Mother tells Sandra that Charlie called and Bonnie is having contractions. St. John and Sandra walk to Charlie and Bonnie's house and Sandra helps Bonnie give birth. Charlie tells St. John that he is going to name his new baby Sunflower if it's a girl or Goldenrod if it is a boy. Sandra tells St. John that she was having a crisis in faith when she was riding her bicycle. St. John sees Yarma sneaking around outside and leads him to the barn. Yarma starts to shoot at St. John and Mike and Locke arrive in Airwolf and start shooting at Yarma, who is blown up when he stands next to barrels of fuel and Mike fires a rocket at him. Sandra runs over and hugs St. John and later at Santini Air, Mike tells everyone that Jerry Conklin and the other members of the board are awaiting trial. Sandra tells St. John that she is leaving to go back to medical school and they kiss.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 16 The Key played by Barry Van Dyke

December 28th, after Dr. Badham sends a video where he threatens to fire missiles from over 20 nuclear missile silos in the United States and USSR which he and his group have taken over, St. John and Locke are in Airwolf flying to the abandoned brewery where the terrorists are hiding. Rivers, who has infiltrated the Cyprus Party, is already at the brewery. St. John and Locke land Airwolf and St. John sneaks to the brewery. St. John sneaks inside the brewery and sees Pervis inject Mike with a drug. Locke attacks the terrorist members with Airwolf, while St. John shoots and kills Pervis. St. John rescues an unconscious Mike and carries him to Airwolf and tells Locke that Mike is dead.

December 29th, Locke tells Jo that Mike is dead. He tells General Harrisburg that the mission failed and Badham was killed by Pervis. While Locke is running a diagnostic check, he realizes that Mike is only in a coma and not dead. Mike is brought to a hospital. Dr. Keith tells St. John, Locke and Jo that Mike has been stabilized, but he is still in a coma. As they sit in the waiting room, General Harrisburg tells them that they have two days for Mike to come to in order to stop the launch of missiles. They start to reminisce about their times with Mike. Dr. Keith tells them that Mike is coming out of his coma and they go to see him, but Mike tells them that he doesn't know any of them.

December 30th, Mike slowly starts to remember things and Jo, Locke and St. John bring him to St. John's house and then the lair. He watches the video Badham made and says he might remember things better if he went back to the brewery.

December 31st, Locke, St. John and Mike get into Airwolf and head towards the brewery, but are attacked by two MiG fighters and shoot one down. They land at the brewery and Mike remembers that Badham mentioned reading a story to Angus. Mike goes up to Angus and asks to see his Mother Goose book and Locke puts in titles of fairy tales into the computer. Mike recalls Badham saying Jack in the Beanstalk and when Locke puts it into the computer, it works. Locke tries to shut down all the silos, but one doesn't shut down and launches a missile. Locke, Mike and St. John get back into Airwolf and shoot the missile down. Back at the lair, Mike thinks Badham had the right idea, but went about it the wrong way. Locke brings some champagne and glasses and he, Mike, Jo and St. John have a toast.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 17 On the Double played by Barry Van Dyke

St. John is flying in Airwolf, while being pursued by a jet flown by Mike during simulated wargames. Meanhwile, Jo and Locke are watching the simulation over a video feed. Mike manages to shoot down Airwolf during the simulation and later Locke goes over the planned rescue of a double agent named Klaus Hertzfeld with Mike, Jo and St. John. St. John tells them that the mission date has been moved up due to Klaus flying at the beginning of the air show instead of the end. At the Paris Air Show, St. John tells Mike that he put a helmet in his locker room with the same communication channel as Airwolf. As Katharina Hertzfeld goes to congratulate Mike, Achmed drives up in a van with Elan and Terrorist and kidnaps Mike and Katharina. Locke and St. John get into Airwolf and Jo and Klaus find the van and it explodes. A fight breaks out and Omar gets into the helicopter and flies off. Klaus is shot in the arm and Jo shoots Elan dead. Mike shoots Achmed dead and Locke and St. John shoot Omar's helicopter out of the sky. Jo and Mike hug while Klaus and Katharina hug and kiss. At Mike's apartment, Locke tells everyone that Klaus and Katharina have been granted refugee status and Alfred Kenderson has been arrested.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 18 Storm Warning played by Barry Van Dyke

Locke, St. John and Mike are flying in Airwolf to the country of San Barrios in order to rescue Jack Paley from General Miguel Butarra. Locke lands Airwolf and Mike and St. John get out and walk towards the stadium. St. John and Mike find Jack's body. St. John picks up a necklace Jack had with a butterfly on it. Butarra gets away in a helicopter and Mike calls Locke to pick them up. They return to the lair and Jo wonders if Jack took the money for himself. Locke tells them that they are going back to San Barrios to look for the money. St. John and Mike tell him they are going to visit with Jack's family and Jo tells Locke, she will go with him. At Sand Piper Island, Renee Paley picks up Mike and St. John in her boat. St. John and Renee reminisce about Jack and St. John gives her Jack's necklace. St. John, Mike and Renee return to shore and she finds Adrian Paley tied to a chair. Colenso and Valdez point their rifles at Mike and St. John and Butarra walks down the stairs. A storm rolls in and Valdez and Colenso start searching the house for the real diamonds. Butarra sees Renee wearing Jack's necklace and St. John tells him that he gave it to her.

Butarra accuses St. John of coming to look for the diamonds and threatens to kill Renee. St. John tells Butarra that he knows where the diamonds are and Butarra has Valdez go with St. John to retrieve the diamonds. St. Johh takes Valdez towards a cliff and then throws him off of it, killing Valdez. St. John goes onto Renee's boat and contacts Lewis who opens a communication line with Airwolf. St. John tells Locke and Jo about Butarra taking Mike, Adrian and Renee hostage. St. John goes to the breaker box and shuts off the power to the inn. St. John sneaks up on Colenso and throws him off the second story of the inn, killing him. Butarra grabs Renee and threatens to shoot her and Locke shoots him, causing Butarra to crash into a butterfly display. The display breaks open, revealing a bunch of diamonds inside and Butarra dies. St. John and Adrian go fishing and talk about Jack.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 19 The Golden One played by Barry Van Dyke

Jo and St. John are doing a test check in Airwolf. At Santini Air, a fax comes in to the office which Mike reads and then radios Jo and reads her the message, which is from Frank Casabello. It asks her to come to the Casbah Hotel in Kabul. She gets packed and St. John and Mike try to convince her not to go due to how dangerous Afghanistan is. Mike convinces St. John to go with Jo, which upsets Jo. Jo and St. John arrive at her hotel room and Habib tells Jo that Frank will pick her up later and then gives her a dress. St. John goes to the bar and James McKiddon approaches him and asks for a drink. James introduces himself and St. John asks him if he has heard of Frank. James tells him that Frank was reported dead the week before and St. John runs out of the bar. He goes to Jo's room, but she is gone.

St. John returns to the bar and asks James if he is sure Frank is dead. James asks the Bartender for a telephone and St. John calls Santini Air. He asks Mike to do a background check on Frank and his company. St. John and James go to the warehouse for Global Medical Aid and James sees Frank alive in the building. St. John tells James to go back to the bar and that he is expecting a phone call. St. John then tells James to tell the caller, Airwolf. St. John sneaks into the warehouse, but is caught by Habib and Frank. Frank invites St. John to come with him as he delivers supplies to Habib's village. While driving, Frank is pulled over by a pair of Soviet troops. St. John, Habib and Frank are ordered out of the truck and the crates of medical supplies are revealed to be full of weapons. As one of the Soviet troops is about to hit St. John with his rifle, St. John pulls it away and shoots the other soldier dead after knocking the other one unconscious. St. John grabs Frank and demands to know what is going on. Frank tells him he is taking the weapons to rebels and they continue their journey.

St. John, Frank and Habib arrive in the camp and St. John is whipped and taken captive by Akar. The next morning, Habib cuts St. John loose and tells him where Jo is. Habib runs up to Frank and Frank shoves Habib to the ground and is about to shoot him when St. John throws a knife into his stomach. Mike and Locke arrive in Airwolf and attack the rebel camp. Akar whips the sword away from Jo and St. John tells Habib to get Jo to safety as he fights Mustafa. As Mustafa is about to impale St. John, Jo shoots Mustafa with a rocket launcher. Habib picks up Jo and St. John in a truck and they drive away. St. John asks Habib to come with them, but he decides to stay. Back at Santini Air, Jo thanks the guys for helping her, and they all try to take credit.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 20 The Puppet Master played by Barry Van Dyke

Mike and St. John are flying in Airwolf while Locke monitors them from the Lair. They give control of Airwolf to the Nova 7 program and it successfully fires a missile which hits its target. Back at Santini Air, St. John and Mike argue about papaya on the pizza Mike ordered. Jo tells them that Locke went away for the weekend with Kate Howard and they discard the pizza. On Monday, no one at Santini Air has heard from Locke. Locke calls the Lair and tells Mike, St. John and Jo, he needs them at the FIRM. Locke has St. John and the others arrested by FIRM personnel and Security Guard tells Mike they are just following orders and then puts them in a cell. St. John and the others manage to break out of their cell and escape. St. John tracks down Airwolf using the Nova 7 program. St. John breaks into the front entrance of Dr. Robertson's lab while Mike and Jo break in through the back door. Attendant 2 stops St. John, who then punches Attendant 2 unconsciousness. St. John finds Locke, who initially attacks him. Locke tells St. John about Leader and St. John carries him from the room. St. John carries Locke out of the building and Jo and Mike fire a missile into the building which causes Leader to short circuit and Attendant to die.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 21 Malduke played by Barry Van Dyke

Mike and St. John are sitting in a bar when St. John tells Mike he is thinking of retiring. Suddenly the channel feed changes on the television and Malduke comes on screen. He says that mankind is in peril from disease and he is ordering all nations to deport their sick to isolated colonies. He says the diseased are to be deported within 48 hours. St. John, Jo and Mike go to FIRM headquarters and Locke tells them Malduke has a satellite more powerful than what the United States or Soviet Union has and the freighter in the video named Trident Queen is adrift near Wake Island. St. John and Mike fly Airwolf towards the freighter while Locke and Jo monitor them in the Lair. Airwolf is hit with a sonic laser. St. John has Mike turn whisper mode on and Malduke gets into direct communication with Airwolf and tells them that the freighter is rigged with explosives and will be detonated if they come closer and it is full of atomic waste. Jo tells St. John that Malduke can track Airwolf and not to return to base. Airwolf gets out of satellite range and returns to the Lair.

Malduke makes another video where he shows the deaths of three world leaders who refused his proposal. Jo tracks the transmission to somewhere near San Francisco and Mike and St. John get into Airwolf and fly to the location. They realize too late that it is a trap and a nearby shed explodes, causing Airwolf to be damaged. Three helicopters are sent to attack Airwolf and St. John shoots them out of the sky. Malduke warns St. John if he sees Airwolf again, he will detonate the freighter. Locke tells everyone at the Lair that the National Security Council had a meeting and they decided an attempt must be made to land on the freighter and disarm the bomb and Airwolf was chosen for the mission. St. John and Mike say goodbye to Jo and Locke and head towards the freighter in Airwolf.

St. John rappels onto the deck of the freighter and starts trying to disarm the bomb. St. John manages to disarm the bomb just as Malduke's Technician presses the detonate button. St. John returns to Airwolf and he and Mike fly it back towards the Lair. St. John and Mike walk into the Lair and point their weapons at Malduke. Malduke holds up a detonator and orders St. John and Mike to drop their weapons. St. John throws his at the controls, and attacks Malduke, who easily throws him around. Mike shoots Malduke, but the bullet does nothing. Mike shoots Malduke three more times and St. John pushes Malduke into the electrical system and Malduke is revealed to be a robot and its head falls off.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 22 Poppy Chain played by Barry Van Dyke

St. John, who is in Airwolf, contacts Mike and tells him he is nearby. A jeep starts chasing after Mike and someone starts shooting at him until St. John fires a rocket at the vehicle, causing it to crash. Mike goes to Singapore and meets up with St. John who gives him fake identification papers and the identity of a Merchant Marine. St. John goes undercover as Ryan Murphy and meets Corsican, Gunther, Mac The Knife, and LaFortune. St. John walks into a room to see Felix sexually assaulting Jo and stops him. Felix accuses St. John of insulting his honor and they have a knife fight and St. John wins. Jo gets in St. John's car and then gets into Airwolf. St. John transports drugs from Belgium to New York. He lands and Locke sets him up with a wire and they drive together to the drug drop off point. Bodyguard lets Locke and St. John into a meeting, which is being held at an arcade and then searches them.

Bodyguard tells them that Colonel Curtis is also at the meeting. Agent checks to see how much the drugs weigh. Curtis walks into the room and splits the drugs with St. John, Buccari and Watson. Curtis thinks he recognizes St. John, but can't remember where. Watson tells Curtis that Felix and Gunther were busted. Curtis tells Watson to get the guns and hands Buccari the drugs. As Curtis is about to leave, St. John reveals that he knows him from Vietnam and he is being set up. Curtis remembers St. John and makes St. John walk out the building first. Curtis gets into a car and drives away and St. John chases after him on a motorcycle. Curtis tries to ram St. John who jumps over Curtis' vehicle and Curtis crashes. His vehicle blows up and St. John sees that Curtis is dead. Locke catches Buccari and Mike and Jo land Airwolf and St. John throws the drugs into the burning vehicle.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 23 Flying Home played by Barry Van Dyke

Jo finishes hanging up a framed photo of Tony Santini taken during World War II, when it falls to the ground due to Mike and St. John running into the wall while playing basketball. Mike misses the shot and Jo takes the ball and throws it into the basket. She tells them about how Tony never was really around when she was young. Tony lands in his plane after doing some air stunts and Jo introduces him to St. John and Mike. Jo orders a pizza and Tony tells them stories from World War II. The phone rings and Mike answers it. Locke tells Mike that he and St. John are needed for a mission and they leave.

Locke tells Mike and St. John about stolen plutonium and Mike and St. John fly Airwolf to the triad nuclear facility. They question Longfellow who tells them Sullivan and Brooke had access cards. He shows them video of the heist and tells them the van was lead lined. Mike and St. John get back into Airwolf and Mike picks up a high lead signal. They chase after Brooke and St. John fires a rocket at the van, causing it to crash. St. John and Mike land Airwolf and wait until Jo comes with radiation suits. Jo arrives with the radiation suits and St. John and Mike find Brooke dead and the plutonium cylinders empty. Tony walks up and the Geiger counter starts to go off. He admits that he was going through radiation treatment for cancer, but has quit taking treatments. While going over the security tapes again, Mike notices the canisters were empty and the plutonium never left the facility. Locke calls St. John and Mike and tells them gun runners have made a deal for plutonium with a group of Neo-Nazis and Mike tells him Longfellow is the inside man.

Mike and St. John go back to the triad nuclear facility and question Longfellow again and he tells them that Sullivan has Marian and Amy hostage. Mike gets back into Airwolf, while St. John stays with Longfellow to wait for Sullivan to contact him. Sullivan calls Longfellow and Longfellow demands to speak with Marian and Amy, but Sullivan refuses. Locke is able to track Sullivan's location to 244 Farm Street in County Hill, Oregon. Mike and St. John scan Sullivan's house and Locke tells them the gun runners are en route. Mike tells St. John that Longfellow just drove up. St. John fires a rocket from Airwolf into the van with the weapons. Sullivan gets into his helicopter and screams about being a martyr and St. John and Mike blow him out of the sky with a rocket. Longfellow hugs Marian and Amy and back at Santini Air Mike and St. John are playing basketball again. Jo tells them that Tony agreed to go back to getting cancer treatment and Tony and makes a trick basket, like Jo had before, before he and Jo leave to go fishing.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 4 Episode 24 Welcome to Paradise played by Barry Van Dyke

Dale and Rita are driving and being chased by Jo and Locke. St. John gets into Airwolf and he and Mike take off. Locke radios Airwolf for help and Rita drops a grenade out the window, causing Jo to swerve and crash the car. Dale and Rita get into a helicopter and St. John radios them and tells them to land. The helicopter then suddenly blows up. At Santini Air, Locke shows them the bag full of drugs Rita threw out and tells them the amount they recovered is small in comparison to what is currently being trafficked in the area. A plane lands and Vicky gets out. She and St. John go to lunch and she tells him that her and Scotty are having financial issues and she asks St. John to come with her to convince Scotty not to sell the company. St. John and Vicky return and they fly Vicky's plane to Paradise Island. They land the plane and find Scotty dead. The police arrive and Officer tells St. John that there won't be an investigation until the coroner rules Scotty's death a murder. St. John goes inside and meets Luther Many Suns who is consoling Vicky. Vicky passes out after taking Valium and drinking whiskey and St. John asks Luther about Patterson. Luther tells him that Patterson would do anything to get the land so he could log it. He tells St. John that Patterson runs the town and controls the police. St. John tries to get Vicky to come back with him, but she refuses. They go to see Luther so St. John can use his phone.

Luther tells St. John that his phone is out of order and tells St. John that Scotty would never have sold out to Patterson. St. John and Luther try to convince Vicky to leave the island and she walks off. St. John stops her and asks her why she lied about Scotty wanting to sell to Patterson and she tells him Scotty was about to leave her. They return to Paradise Charters and find Patterson, Officer and Joplin inside. Vicky tells them to leave and when St. John confronts Patterson, Joplin pulls a gun on him. St. John grabs the gun from Joplin, makes Officer hand over his and orders them out by gunpoint. St. John goes to the plane to leave and finds the cockpit wires cut. He again demands to know what is really going on and Vicky tells him that Scotty and Patterson had some sort of deal.

Later, St. John asks Vicky why she killed Scotty and she pulls a gun on him. She tells him that she killed Scotty, because he tried to stop her. Luther sees Vicky pointing the gun at St. John and grabs her and St. John takes the gun away. Luther shows St. John the duffle bag of drugs he found and tells St. John that Scotty must have hid it from Vicky. Vicky tells them that she and Scotty started using drugs, but he managed to quit. She took a job transporting drugs for Patterson, but Scotty was against it. Mike lands a helicopter and Patterson and Joplin get out. Joplin points a gun at St. John and Patterson takes back his drugs. Locke blows up Patterson's helicopter and Mike punches Joplin. Patterson takes Vicky to the plane and they take off. Locke fires a warning shot at the plane and Vicky crashes the plane into the lake, killing her and Patterson. Later, St. John and Luther go back to Luther's land where there are two new burials in Luther's family plot. Luther tells St. John that he and the others are going to take over Vicky's charter service.
