Wildfire Zombies
Background
Wildfire Zombies are zombies created by the Wildfire virus.
During the events of Day of the Dead (2008)
As Local Girl is walking in the woods, she is chased down by a Wildfire Zombie and eaten. Sheriff Carver, Nervous Deputy and Deputy 2 go to Kyle's house and are attacked and killed by Kyle Zombie. The soldier with Paul (DJ) goes outside to investigate and is killed by Zombies. Trevor Bowman and Nina are attacked by Zombies and escape into the woods. Captain Rhodes is attacked by Zombies and partially eaten. Rhodes reanimates and attacks Sarah, but she is able to get away. As Bud Crain is putting the vent back, Rhodes Zombie bites him and Salazar shoots Rhodes Zombie. Doctor Logan leaves the others and shoves a woman towards a Zombie. Paul becomes a Zombie and Nina stabs him in the head with the letter opener. When Sarah and Salazar get back to the humvee, Crain has transformed into a Zombie.
Sarah, Trevor, Salazer and Nina they drive to the roadblock. They are attacked by a Soldier and other Soldiers, who are now all Zombies. They drive away and as they are driving, Kyle Zombie jumps onto the humvee. Sarah crashes the humvee and then shoots Kyle Zombie dead. They decide to head towards the old Nike plant. A large group of Zombies enter the building and Sarah, Salazar, Trevor and Nina enter a secret underground facility, while Crain is surrounded by other Zombies. Trevor finds a video and plays it and on the video Scientist says that the virus mutated and all the researchers became infected. During the video, the Scientist changes into a Zombie. They hear a growl and the Scientist Zombie is standing in the hallway. They shoot at it, but it dodges the bullets and disappears. As they are trying to escape, Doctor Logan is grabbed by the Scientist Zombie and killed. Salazar finds the missile silo entrance, but is swarmed by Zombies and killed. Sarah and Trevor make a trap for the Zombies and Sarah acts as bait to get the Zombies to the room. The Scientist Zombie grabs her and Crain shoots at it. The Scientist Zombie then runs over and rips off Crain's head. The Zombies chase after Sarah and the trap goes off, killing all of the Zombies in the area including Scientist Zombie. Sarah, Trevor and Nina exit the facility and drive away in Doctor Logan's vehicle. As they drive away, a Zombie jumps up.
