Background
Briseis is a princess of Thessaly. She is the daughter of King Aristo and the sister of Philomela and Jason.
During the events of Jason and the Argonauts (1963)
During King Pelias' attack on the palace of King Aristo, Briseis runs carrying Philomela to the temple of Hera. She implores Hera to protect Philomela and herself, but is stabbed to death by King Pelias.
