Cornelia
Background
Cornelia is the daughter of Scipio. She is the widow of Publius, who was killed in battle and she later marries Pompey Magnus. She has two children, Daughter of Pompey and Son of Pompey.

While at a vulgar theater play, Scipio introduces Cornelia to Pompey. Cornelia excuses herself as she doesn't think it fitting for a lady be around vulgarity. Cornelia is taken as Pompey's wife after his mourning period for Julia is over.

As they prepare to flee Rome, Cornelia tells the house slaves they will return and to keep the house in good order under penalty of death. She reassures her children and also Pompey.
During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 7 Pharsalus played by Anna Patrick
After Pompey's army is defeated at the battle of Pharsalus, Cornelia joins her husband in their retreat to the coast. Cornelia wakes up to her slave Helen stealing her necklace and she tells Pompey that their people are deserting them. She tries to keep her families' spirits up and witnesses Pompey being killed and beheaded by Lucius Septimius when they arrive in Egypt.
