Background

Dave Sheldon is the owner of The Wild Goose Lodge in Massachusetts. He took over The Wild Goose Lodge from his father when it was going to be repossessed for failure to pay taxes. Dave's ancestor was Reverend John W. Sheldon, who summoned demons from Hell.

During the events of Winterbeast (1992) played by Bob Harlow

Bill Whitman and Ranger Stillman drive to The Wild Goose Lodge and listen as Dave gives his comedy routine to the guests. Bill questions Dave if he has seen Slappy Tello and asks him to put out a sign warning hikers away from the trails. Bill goes to the Fall Foliage Festival and asks Dave to shut down the lodge due to Slappy still being missing, but Dave refuses. Bill goes to the Newbury Library and shows Dave photos of a totem and again tries to get Dave to shut down the lodge.

Dave goes to speak with Bill and throws park closed posters at his face. Later, Bill again tells Dave to close the lodge, but again Dave refuses. Dave ties the corpse of Ranger Bradford up in his lodge and plays with her wounds and slaps her corpse. He then plays Johnny's So Long at the Fair, puts on a clown mask and dances. At the lodge, Bill finds Charlie and then shows him a prophecy that says a second man will appear to fulfill his forefathers' unfinished work and after the sacrifices are complete, more powerful demons then Chocura will appear. Dave confronts them and admits he is the one calling the Mt. Chocura Creatures. Dave's head then explodes in flames.
