During the events of Gremlins (1984) played by Judge Reinhold
When Barney lunges at Mrs. Deagle, Gerald and Mr. Corben help her get up and Gerald calls Billy a putz. Later at Dorry's Tavern, Gerald tells Billy that he was almost fired but Mr. Corben felt bad about firing him during the holidays, which he would have done anyways. When Kate brings him a drink, he asks her to come by his apartment but she tells him no. When the Gremlins attack Kingston Falls, Gerald hides in the bank vault.
