Ivan Turgyev

Background

Ivan Turgyev is a farmer and former Soviet soldier who sang in the choir who lives in Kirivitz, Russia. He has a wife and son. Ivan is Natalya's brother and the brother in law of Vladimir Rostoff and the uncle of Tanya Rostoff. He is a member of a local militia.

During the events of Airwolf: Season 1 Episode 5 Proof Through the Night played by Radu Gavor

Ivan goes outside to light his pipe and then plays the balalaika for 1st Russian Soldier and another soldier inside of his house. In the morning 1st Russian Soldier and the other soldier leave and Ivan says goodbye to him when Vladimir, Stringfellow Hawke and Dominic arrive and Ivan hugs Vladimir. Vladimir tells his family and Ivan that he is a spy and they must leave and Ivan angrily yells that he can't believe Vladimir is a spy for the Americans. He grabs a vial from Natalya and runs outside to a helicopter that has arrived, but is tackled and has the vial taken away by Hawke. Ivan stands outside and watches as the helicopter shoots at the house and when Hawke returns with Airwolf, Ivan watches as Vladimir waves and leaves. Later Ivan plays his balalaika and sings a Russian Revolutionary song.
