Detailed Synopsis
Near Canisboro, Boy is running through the woods when he is cornered by Sargeant Roger Allen and two Hunters. Roger and the Hunters suddenly hear wolves howling and Roger offers the Boy's life for his and the Hunters. Roger and the Hunters are then attacked and killed. Sandy is cutting a pepper when she calls Stewart to the kitchen. Stewart falls down the stairs in front of Dr. Dan who helps him up. They walk into the kitchen and Dan notices that Sandy is upset. He tells her that they had to move to Canisburg in order for him to find work and Sandy and Dan tell Stewart that they had to move, because Dan was drunk while performing a surgery and murdered a patient. He was then forced to leave the hospital and go to Alcoholics Anonymous. Dan goes to take out the trash and is surprised by Dave (Daveed), his AA sponsor, who tells him that he better show up for that night's AA meeting. While in his room, Stewart hears a knock on his window and Sarah from next door climbs into his room from the window. Sarah invites Stewart to hang out somewhere else and they sneak out of the front door of the house. At the Town Hall, Dan, Dave, AAmeeting drinkers, AA meeting woman, and AAmeeting gather for their AA meeting. The AA Speaker starts the meeting and during the meeting Dan tells Dave that he notices that no one in town seems to get sick or injured.
Stewart and Sarah end up at the cemetery. The AA Meeting ends and Dave invites Dan to get some coffee. Stewart and Sarah start kissing and Sarah suddenly bites Stewart in the chest and Stewart decides to go home. At home, Stewart starts to go through a transformation and changes into a werewolf. Dan and Dave go to The Village Trestle and as they enter the bar, Zev's Bar patrons and HumanZEV turn and look at them. Dan and Dave take a seat at a table and order coffee from ZEV. Dan and Dave then eat a steak. Doug Allen/Doug-Wolf and Russ Allen drive into town and enter The Village Trestle. ZEV gives them menus and asks them what brings them into town. They tell him about Roger going missing while he was tracking something. Dan asks Russ and Doug if he can borrow their ketchup and notices Doug's Special Operations tattoo on the back of his neck. They start a conversation and Dan tells them that he knew Roger and they invite him and Dave to join them. They talk about Roger and Dan mentions remembering Roger receiving a watch when he retired. ZEV asks them if they want anything else and happens to drop Roger's watch. Doug and Russ grab ZEV and he runs away. Doug, Russ and Dan follow him into the kitchen where Grill Cook and Dishwasher stare at them and tell them they are not supposed to be in there.
They continue into the storage area where they corner ZEV. He rants about outsiders and tells them that the steaks were made from Roger. ZEV transforms into WolfZEV and attacks them before running away. Dan and Russ are okay, but Doug dies from a large throat wound. Dan opens the freezer door and shows Russ the chopped up bodies of Roger and the Hunters. They enter another part of the bar and are attacked by Black Beta Wolves. Russ fights the Black Beta Wolves off while Dan manages to escape and finds Dave. Sandy is woken up by Stewart and runs into the bathroom. Stewart breaks into the bathroom and starts talking to Sandy. Russ gets a flat tire and after she pulls over, Dave walks up to her. He tells her that he is a werewolf and helps her change the tire. Dan gets home and Sandy stops him from attacking Stewart, who is still in werewolf form. Dave and Russ drive to Dan's house and Dave tells Sandy and Dan that Stewart's condition can't be reversed. Dave tells Dan to give Stewart water from the tap and explains that their water source has unusual amounts of silver in it, which allows them to control the locals' changes into werewolves. After drinking the water, Stewart starts to change back to normal. Dave tells Russ and Sandy about the history of Canisboro and that he knew Dan since they were kids.
He tells them that he was working undercover to investigate ZEV and his pack. He says that he needs to bring ZEV alive in front of his tribe in order for ZEV to be tried for his crimes. Dan has a dream that Sandy, Dave, Russ and Doug eat him. Russ wakes him up and then loads her weapons with ammo. Dave shows Russ the amazing ability of lycanthropes to rejuvenate and then takes her to meet Athena. They find Athena feeding the Enchanted Hill Alpacas.
