Carol goes to see Dr. Herrick and Mary, and Mary tells Carol, Dr. Herrick has been depressed. He recognizes Carol and laments at all the diseases they were able to find cures for and yet Carol cannot have a child due to their discoveries. Later, Carol goes to see Dr. Herrick and Mary Herrick and tells Dr. Herrick, Jesse is sick. He examines Jesse and tells Carol there is nothing to worry about and gives Jesse a shot.
