Captain Bryson walks to where the slaves are being held and tells Mr. Scott, who is chained up, that he failed in his duty. Bryson has his men shoot a female slave dead and then tells his men to shoot another female slave. Slave begs them not to and Bryson has the Slave unchained. The Slave calls for Captain Flint and speaks in the Slave's language. Joshua translates for Flint that Bryson sent a message to the Scarborough before he left, where he was headed. A ship appears to their east and the Slave lights a bomb and charges at Flint before he is shot dead by Billy Bones.
