Xenomorph Queen
Background
The Xenomorph Queen is the matriarch of the Xenomorphs. She produces large amounts of eggs with her egg sac, like a termite queen.
During the events of Aliens (1986)
When Ripley goes to save Newt she comes across the Xenomorph Queen. Ripley threatens the queens eggs and the queen tells the xenomorph drones to back away. After Ripley burns her eggs, the queen separates from her egg sack and chases Ripley and Newt. The queen sneaks aboard the Sulaco and then rips Bishop in half after impaling him with her tail. She then fights Ripley and is ultimately thrown out of the ship when Ripley opens the bay door, which sucks the queen out into space.
During the events of Alien: Resurrection (1997)
Due to the cloning process, the Xenomorph Queen that was inside of Ripley when she died is born with a fully functioning womb. After created a group of xenomorphs, she produces the Newborn. Once the Newborn is born, it sniffs the queen and after deciding the queen is not its true mother, it kills her.
