Background
Soames is an advisor for Woodes Rogers on Nassau on New Providence Island.
During the events of Black Sails: Season 3 Episode 9 XXVII. played by Adam Neill
Rogers has a meeting with his senior counselors and Dr. Marcus tells Eleanor Guthrie that he has confined Rogers to bed after Rogers collapsed. Soames asks Rogers how long they should wait for [[Captain Benjamin Hornigold to return with word that he has regained the cache. Rogers tells his counsel that if Hornigold fails to recover the cache they will try again and that until he is well, Eleanor is to be given what messages they want to pass to him.
During the events of Black Sails: Season 3 Episode 10 XXVIII. played by Adam Neill
While Eleanor is talking with Soames, Max and Captain Throckmorton show her a piece of paper with a black mark and a threat if Captain Charles Vane's body is not removed from the gibbet. Throckmorton tells Eleanor that someone left it on the foot of his bed while he slept. Throckmorton thinks it is an empty threat, but Max suggests they remove Vane's body to quell some of the unrest. Soames thinks that removing the body would give the appearance that they are weak, and Eleanor agrees with him.
