Captain Throckmorton


Throckmorton is a pirate captain in the West Indies.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 3 Episode 3 XXI. played by Dan Robbertse

Throckmorton and some other captains argue with Rackham about his plan to do a show of force when the English fleet arrives. Jacob Garrett says they need to have a plan if the bluff works and Captain Charles Vane gets upset with all the complaining. Rackham assure the captains that Captain Flint will return and reminds them that they were given gold coins in assurance that they would defend Nassau. Blackbeard walks into the room and says that Flint was killed while being chased by Captain Benjamin Hornigold. Hornigold and Dufresne take a boat to Nassau. Hornigold gives a speech written by Woodes Rogers offering pardons to the pirates. He then continues that their is a bounty placed on Vane for 10,000 pounds. Throckmorton then walks up to Hornigold to receive his pardon as do other pirates.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 3 Episode 9 XXVII. played by Dan Robbertse

Captain Chamberlain along with Lieutenant Perkins tells Eleanor Guthrie that he notices that there are more ships beyond his own that are preparing to leave to fight the Maroons. She tells him that Hornigold will be going with him along with men belonging to Throckmorton.

During the events of Black Sails: Season 3 Episode 10 XXVIII. played by Dan Robbertse

While Eleanor is talking with Mr. Soames, Max and Throckmorton show her a piece of paper with a black mark and a threat if Vane's body is not removed from the gibbet. Throckmorton tells Eleanor that someone left it on the foot of his bed while he slept. Throckmorton thinks it is an empty threat, but Max suggests they remove Vane's body to quell some of the unrest. Soames thinks that removing the body would give the appearance that they are weak, and Eleanor agrees with him. Later, Throckmorton is found hanging from a building in the town square.
