Appius
Background
Appius is a Legionary assigned to Rome.
During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 3 An Owl in the Thornbrush played by Andrew Greenough
When Pompey decides to leave Rome he has Durio take a group of soldiers and collect large chests of gold to be taken by cart outside of Rome. As they are leaving Durio notices they are going the wrong way and the driver, Appius stabs and kills Durio. As they are leaving Rome, A Legionary grabs and takes Eirene. Appius and the rogue legionaries make their way outside Rome and are approached by Lucius Vorenus, Titus Pullo and some Ubiians. Appius tells Lucius, Pompey Magnus has fled Rome. When Titus offers to buy Eirene, Appius refuses and a fight breaks out when Lucius notices Appius and his men are wearing soldier's sandals. Appius escapes while his men are all killed.

Appius is tortured to death by Volpe and he tells Quintus Pompey what happened to the gold he stole.
