Call

Background

Call is a mechanic and a member of the commercial freighter named the Betty. She is a second generation android built by other androids. Call was programmed to be religious.

During the events of Alien: Resurrection (1997) played by Winona Ryder

Call and the rest of the crew of the Betty including Elgyn, Hillard, Christie, Vriess, and Johner arrive on the Auriga with their cargo of hijacked Sleepers. She goes into a restricted area to kill Ripley, but stops when she finds out the researchers have already removed the immature Xenomorph Queen. As she is leaving Ripley's room, Call is detained by Dr. Wren and a group of Soldiers. She is brought to where the rest of the crew is and Dr. Wren orders them all shot. The crew manage to kill the soldiers with the exception of Distephano and Dr. Wren using contraband weapons. Call and the others then try and make their way back to the Betty when they hear the ship's alarms go off and they are attacked by a Xenomorph. When she gives Dr. Wren her gun so he can open a door, he shoots her and she falls into a pool of water. She returns to where the others are and opens the locked door for them. The others are surprised to find out she is an android and Ripley convinces her to communicate with the ship's computer to set the Auriga to crash into Earth. Call and the remaining members of the crew make it to the Betty and as she goes to fix the cargo door she is attacked by the Newborn. Distephano goes to help her and he is killed. Ripley then goes to help Call and kills the Newborn by throwing some of her acid blood onto a window, causing the Newborn to be sucked into space. The Betty lands on Earth and Call and Ripley stare at the post-apocalyptic landscape.
