Mombi
Background
Mombi is the princess of the Wheelers in the ruins of the Emerald City. She was given power by the Nome King who had her imprison Ozma. She gave life to Jack Pumpkinhead using the Powder of Life.
During the events of Return to OZ (1985) played by Jean Marsh, Sophie Ward and Fiona Victory
Dorothy, Billina and Tik Tok arrive at Mombi's castle and enter the throne room as Mombi is playing her lute. She has Dorothy taker her to her head room and when she finds out who Dorothy is, Mombi threatens to lock her into her tower until her head matures and cut if off. Billina tries to help Dorothy, but Mombi grabs her and she locks Dorothy and Billina in the tower room. Later, Mombi is awoken when her original head catches Dorothy stealing her Powder of Life. Mombi runs after her, but Dorothy, Billina, Tik Tok, and Jack get away on a Gump couch they created using the Powder of Life. She wakes up the Wheelers and tells them to chase after Dorothy. When the Wheelers return and tell her Dorothy has made it past the Deadly Desert, Mombi ties them up to a chariot and uses the Wheelers to take her to the Nome King's mountain. She tells the Nome King Dorothy is there, but realizes he already knows. The Nome King locks up Mombi when Dorothy picks the correct ornament, and Mombi reappears in the Emerald City in a cage after the Nome King is defeated. She is paraded among the people, but ultimately forgiven by Ozma.
