Newspaper Man is a plainclothes officer working for the French police in Paris, France.
During the events of Kiss of the Dragon (2001) played by Guillaume Lamant
Newspaper Man watches as Liu Jian walks over to the lobby bar. When Liu Jian hides in the laundry chute, Richard orders Newspaper Man to get him. Newspaper Man is killed when Liu Jian pulls him into the chute and Newspaper Man falls head first to his death.
