Sam the Dog
Background
Samantha is the household pet of Marley. She is Robert Neville's only friend after the apocalypse. Sam does not like to eat vegetables.
During the events of I Am Legend (2007) played by Abbey and Kona
Sam follows Robert around post-apocalyptic New York City as he gathers supplies and waits for any survivors. While chasing a buck into a building she comes across an Infected and is forced to hide. Robert finds her and then tells her to run outside as the Infected run after them. During one outing, Robert falls into a trap and Sam waits for him to regain consciousness. She warns him that Infected are approaching and stands guard after Robert injures himself with his own knife. When the Alpha Male sics three Infected dogs on Robert, Sam defends him, but is injured in the process. Sam then succumbs to the Krippin Virus and Robert chokes her to death.
