Chamberlain tells Rogers that Blackbeard will soon realize they have no choice, but to surrender Vane. After Chamberlain leaves, Mrs. Hudson sneaks up to Rogers' door and listens as he asks Eleanor how her enemies on the island would describe her. Eleanor tells him that they would call her untrustworthy and he tells her that he trusts her.

Rogers, Eleanor, and Mrs. Hudson travel to Rogers new residence on Nassau. Later, Rogers tells Eleanor how he got the scar on his face and they kiss. Mrs. Hudson enters the room and admits to Rogers that she provided information to a man named Juan Antonio Grandal, from the Spanish intelligence department. She tells him that the Spanish know of the scheme to convert some of their gold into more portable items and that he must return all of the value of the gold.

Mrs. Hudson tells Eleanor how she started to feel guilty for spying on Rogers and declined to work for the Spanish anymore. Shortly after, she came home one night to find Grandal in her children's bedroom. He then told her that her children would either receive money, or a knife.

Mrs. Hudson tells Grandal when Anne Bonny and Rackham's share of the cache will be added to the gold and shipped back to Havana. Grandal tells her that now they must also send Rackham to Havana to be punished. Mrs. Hudson then tells Rogers about Grandal's new demand.
