Simonson
Background
William R. Simonson is a former lawyer and politician. He lived in apartment 22A at Chelsea Towers West in New York City with Shirl. Simonson was born in 1954, graduated Yale Law School in 1977 and was a principal partner in the law firm Simonson, Borden and Santini. In 1997 he was the director of Holcox Manufacturing in Norfolk Virginia which specialized in freeze drying equipment for food processing, which was then bought out by Soylent in 2018 and Simonson was added to the Soylent board. When he found out that the algae in the oceans were drying up and Soylent Green was made from people, he told The Priest.

Simonson notices Shirl playing with the video arcade that he bought her and tells her he is glad she likes it. Tab enters the apartment and tells Shirl that they have to go shopping. While they are shopping, Gilbert breaks into the apartment. He tells Simonson that his employers don't think he is reliable anymore and they can't risk the catastrophe. Gilbert then beats Simonson to death.
