Tab walks into Simonson's apartment and tells Shirl they need to go grocery shopping. After buying groceries from Brady they return to Simonson's apartment to find him murdered. Thorn arrives to investigate the murder and tells Tab it doesn't look like Simonson put up much of a fight. He then asks where Tab was when Simonson was murdered and tells him to write a sworn statement. Tab is ordered to kill The Priest by Donovan and shoots The Priest in the head in the confessional booth. He returns home to find the door open and he is attacked by Thorn. He fights back against Thorn, who tells him he will be sent to work at a waste disposal plant for the rest of his life. Before leaving, Thorn threatens to kill Tab and Martha if anyone follows him again. Later, Tab and three other men wait outside of Thorn's apartment complex. They hear a noise and start shooting at Thorn. The men with Tab are shot and killed by Thorn, but Tab manages to shoot him in the chest as Thorn is running towards the church. He follows Thorn into the church and follows his blood trail. When he hears a noise, Tab shoots in the direction of the noise, but shoots an innocent woman. He is then attacked by Thorn, but he manages to fight him off. As Tab goes in for the kill, Thorn stabs and kills him with a large knife.
