Lyde
Background
Lyde is the sister of Niobe. She is married to Evander Pulchio. She owns a butcher shop with Niobe.
During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 4 Stealing from Saturn played by Esther Hall
Lyde and Evander go to the party being held by Lucius Vorenus. When Vorena the Elder brings the baby Lucius to the dinner table, Lyde becomes jealous when Evander starts playing with the child. Lyde gets drunk and starts dancing with a random party goer. Clarissa tells Evander he needs to take Lyde home and when he tells Lyde she starts yelling. Niobe goes to Lyde and reminds her she vowed to keep the baby a secret. Lyde starts screaming that Lucius is a fool and then falls into the table holding the Jupiter bust, causing the bust to fall to the ground and break.

Titus Pullo witnesses a fight between Lyde and Evander.
During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 6 Egeria played by Esther Hall
Lyde spends most of her time at Niobe's house worrying about her missing husband Evander. Titus eventually tells Lyde that he heard that Evander had amassed lots of gambling debts and was killed. Lyde screams and when Niobe tries to comfort her, Lyde lashes out at her and accuses Niobe of stealing Evander from her. Niobe blames Lyde for not being able to produce any children for Evander, and Lyde tells her she will keep Niobe's secret, however she will never see Niobe again.
During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 7 Pharsalus played by Esther Hall
Lyde goes to Niobe's home and they reconcile after Niobe tells Lyde she doesn't know if Lucius is still alive.
During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 9 Utica played by Esther Hall
When Lucius intervenes to help Terrified Man, Lyde tells him that Urbo and Pertinax work for Erastes Fulmen. After Erastes threatens Niobe's family, Lyde asks her why she won't ask Lucius to do what Erastes wants and kiss his feet. She eventually takes Vorena the Elder, Vorena the Younger and Lucius out to the country to protect them.
During the events of Rome: Season 2 Episode 1 Passover played by Esther Hall
Lyde, Vorena the Elder, and Vorena the Younger return home to find Lucius shaking the child Lucius and demanding to know who his father is. Lucius then curses his entire family and leaves. Lyde cleans Niobe's body and tells Vorena the Elder, Lucius will return at some point. Erastes Fulmen and a few of his men show up at Lucius' home and kidnaps everyone still there.
During the events of Rome: Season 2 Episode 2 Son of Hades played by Esther Hall
Lyde, Vorena the Elder, Vorena the Younger and Lucius are brought south of Rome in a slave wagon.
During the events of Rome: Season 2 Episode 3 These Being the Words of Marcus Tullius Cicero played by Esther Hall
Lyde manages to break out of the wooden cell she is being held in with Vorena the Elder, Vorena the Younger and Lucius, but a Guard returns before any of the children can leave. Titus and Eirene return to Rome and as Titus and Eirene are walking they come across Lyde who tells them the children are still alive.
