Background

Merula is a slave belonging to Atia of the Julii.

Atia complains to Merula when Octavia of the Julii tells her she hates her. Merula tells Atia Octavia is young and not to worry about it.

During the events of Rome: Season 1 Episode 3 An Owl in the Thornbrush played by Lydia Biondi

When Octavua leaves to have her secret rendezvous with Glabius, Merula informs Atia.
