Henry Collins
Background
Henry Foster Collins is the second master on the HMS Erebus in the Discovery Service for the British Royal Navy.
During the events of The Terror: Season 1 Episode 1 Go for Broke played by Trystan Gravelle
Collins gives orders to William Strong on training another seaman. Collins tells John Franklin that Francis Crozier is requesting an ice report and Franklin tells him to relay to Crozier that he and James Fitzjames will be joining him for dinner. A large piece of ice hits the Erebus and Billy Orren falls overboard. John Gregory alerts the rest of the crew and Charles Des Voeux and Collins throw ropes towards Orren, but Orren sinks into the water. Collins gets into a dive suit to dislodge the ice from the propeller. Collins frees the ice and then sees Orren's body floating towards him. Later, Franklin gives a speech to the crew about how they will soon accomplish their journey. Six days later, both ships are stuck in the ice and the next morning they wake up to be surrounded by continuous ice.

Collins tells Fitzjames that when Lt. Edward Little came on board he took 16 bottles of alcohol with him from the Erebus' stores.
During the events of The Terror: Season 1 Episode 6 A Mercy played by Trystan Gravelle
January, 1848, Collins goes to look for Henry Goodsir, who isn't present, and tells Dr. Stanley that he is having bad thoughts. He tells him that he is constantly doing tasks, but that he can't stop thinking about the dark thoughts he is having. Dr. Stanley tells him to keep busy and to enjoy carnival and that the carnival will sort them all out. Carnival starts and Crozier and Thomas Jopson arrive later and find the crew drunk. Crozier holds a speech and tells the crew that they need to return to their homes. Crozier tells them that they will be walking to safety. He continues that they should find help from the Netsilik people on their way and should eventually meet up with Lt. Fairholme and his group. Lady Silence stumbles into the crowd and shortly after, Dr. Stanley starts himself and the carnival camp on fire. The fire spreads through carnival and some of the crew are burned to death. Cornelius Hickey uses a knife to cut open the canvas and kills Dr. MacDonald in the process. The remaining crew stumble out of the area and the dead are lined up.
During the events of The Terror: Season 1 Episode 7 Horrible from Supper played by Trystan Gravelle
April 22, 1848, Lt. John Irving gives the word, and the group starts their march through the Arctic. In the evening, Goodsir asks Collins how he is doing. Collins tells Goodsir that he hates the smell of grease and ever since carnival, he can't stop thinking of the smell of burning flesh, which makes him hungry. Collins then cries on Goodsir's shoulder. The crew meet up with Little's group, who have already set up camp. During the night, John Morfin collapses and asks Goodsir to kill him. The rest of the camp wakes up and Morfin takes the rifle from Pvt. William Pilkington and points it at Crozier. Fitzjames orders Morfin to lower his weapon and Morfin shoots towards him before being shot dead by Sgt. Solomon Tozer.
During the events of The Terror: Season 1 Episode 8 Terror Camp Clear played by Trystan Gravelle
April, 1848, John Bridgens is taking care of Collins when Henry Peglar walks into the medic tent. As Peglar shows Bridgens his bruises and sores, Collins stares at a bottle of medical cocaine. Collins then steals the bottle of medicinal cocaine. He walks through camp and later returns camp, followed by the Tuunbaq. The Tuunbaq then devours Collins' soul.
