Detailed Synopsis

In Bath, Carolina, Tom, Edgar and Caleb take a boat to a ship in the harbor. Merchant Captain takes them to the captain's quarters and Tom pushes Merchant Captain aside and enters the room. Blackbeard asks them why they came and Edgar tells him that they are Mary's brothers and they are there to make sure Blackbeard honors his vows to Mary. He tells Blackbeard that he will either by Mary's current husband or late husband. Blackbeard tells them that he can't return and when they pull out their swords tells them that Mary told them three lies. That he retired from a prosperous trade as opposed to being a pirate, that his name is Drummond, and that anyone who lifted a sword against him would survive the encounter. Blackbeard shoots, Tim, Edgar and Caleb and then tells Merchant Captain to make haste to Nassau. Captain Flint and his crew raid a town. Flint breaks into Magistrate Hazzard's home and tells Hazzard of the other magistrates he killed in revenge for capital sentences against pirates. Hazzard tells Flint that if he allowed his fear of him prevent him from enacting the law, then civilization will die. Hazzard then tells Flint that unlike the other magistrates, he is honest, but Flint shoots him dead and then shoots Magistrate's Wife dead. As Flint looks at the dead body of Magistrate's Wife, it changes to that of Miranda Barlow.

Once Flint and his crew return, John Silver orders the plunder to be brought on board. Billy Bones says the vanguard members did a good job, but Flint demands Dobbs be removed for losing his nerve. Captain Charles Vane and his crew are chasing a ship when he tells Featherstone that the ship is throwing their slaves overboard. Slaver Captain tells Slaver Mate that Vane can have his slaves as he continues to have the slaves thrown overboard. Slaver Mate then tells Slaver Captain that he is still coming after them. Vane's men board the ship and Slaver Captain shoots at Vane and misses. Slaver Captain is then thrown overboard with a heavy chain tied to his legs. At the bordello, the Mock Judge says the evidence has been collected and asks Eleanor Impersonator if they have anything to say in their defense. Eleanor Impersonator then makes a lewd comment. Max apologizes to Mr. Scott for the crude act, but says it is what the pirates need. The Mock Judge sentences Eleanor Impersonator to death and Death Figure walks down the stairs and gives the kiss of death to Eleanor Impersonator. Mr. Scott complains about the progress of the rebuilding of the fort. He mentions that Captain Vernon's crew walked off the site and Anne Bonny says that Vernon's crew only left a few days ago, but Mr. Scott corrects her and says it has been weeks.

After Mr. Scott leaves, Max complains to Anne about Rackham not doing his job of rebuilding the fort. Rackham is reading the Jamaica Courant from Wednesday, August 5, 1715, while Celeste plays the cello when Anne complains to him about work not being done on the fort. Anne asks him what his plan is and Vane walks in and yells Rackham's name. Silver tells Flint that they should remove Flint from the vanguard crew as his death is too much to risk. Flint says that he will decide when their tactics change, but Silver tells him that it is he who will decide what happens as the quartermaster. Dr. Howell tells Silver that Silver's wound is not properly healing and that he should use crutches instead of the boot. Vane accuses Rackham of knowingly sending him after a slave ship so they could use the slaves to rebuild the fort. Rackham complains that no one on Nassau wants to work and he has to use slaves. Hallendale's ship is spotted floating in the water. De Groot tells Silver and Billy that maybe the ship was abandoned. Dooley thinks they should check the ship out in case the crew needs help and Silver agrees, but Flint thinks it is a bad idea.

Flint goes onto Hallendale's ship with Billy, Joji, Dooley and a few other crew members. They find it empty except for the body of Hallendale chained to his desk. They look through his logbook and find the last few pages with We All Die Alone written over and over. Billy says that Hallendale was marooned and Flint notes the only water left for Hallendale was sea water. Flint realizes it is a trap at about the same time Silver sees a ship in the distance. Flint notes that the ship is under British colors and is a pirate hunter. Max tells Anne that even though she now owns a tavern, brothel, tanner, and a butcher, she understands that in end, it can be easily taken from her. Anne reassures her that Rackham will have the fort rebuilt and Max asks her if he will be able to find men to guard it. The ship pulls up next to The Walrus and Captain Benjamin Hornigold tells the crew that he will give them pardons if they surrender. Dufresne asks Hornigold if Flint's men will take the offer and Hornigold tells him that he doesn't care. Flint tells his crew that he could never surrender to England after they have taken so much from him. He says that England must be afraid of them if they are offering them all pardons. Flint then tells the crew that they are going to sail into the nearby storm. As Hornigold's ship is about to fire on The Walrus, Flint has the crew sail towards the storm and Hornigold follows him. Muldoon tells Silver that the ship has damage from Hornigold shooting at it and Silver tells him to seal it up as best he can. Billy thinks there must be someone new in charge as it seems improbable that someone could secure so many pardons. Woodes Rogers goes into Eleanor Guthrie's cell and offers to release her if she helps him tame Nassau. He then asks her for a list of people who can be allies and those who would be an impediment to order. Eleanor then writes down one name who she says is the person that would be an impediment. Vane watches as the slaves are forced to repair the fort and Rackham tells him that when he first saw all the gold, he thought he was going to make something great. A boat arrives on Nassau and Blackbeard asks a local if he knows where Vane is.
